“Location, location location!”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2015

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Cedar House, the location worked very well for Canterbury and us as a family. The property was neat and tidy, the one thing we would have liked is perhaps a welcome basket with milk, teabags, coffee etc as we've had in other holiday rentals. Regardless we all enjoyed the house and would recommend this rental for other potential guests.

“Excellent accomodation very central in Canterbury”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2015

We enjoied a weeks stay, four adults and one infant in this excelent accomodation. That is situated very central in canterbury within walking distance both from the city centre but also very good base for hiking trips. The property is located in a private courtyard which offers both private parking but also the option to close the gate to enable more privacy. The house offers all the needed ammentities the only thing to note is that the kitchen could use new frying pans.

“A great place to stay”

We stayed at Cedar house for a week over new year and had a lovely time. It's modern, really spacious (one bedroom is huge) and well equipped ( dishwasher, washing machine/ drier etc). The house is set back off the road, so private and quiet and with secure parking. Really convenient location as its only a short walk into the centre of Canterbury, and the seaside is within easy reach - Broadstairs is definitely worth a visit. Great choice of restaurants in Canterbury so no need to drive further afield in the evening.

“Excellent accommodation”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2014

We enjoyed a delightful late summer holiday at Cedar House, which was superbly located within walking distance of all the sights and conveniences of Canterbury city centre, while also having the advantage of being tucked away in a quiet and peaceful location. The house itself is very stylish but wonderfully comfortable and well equipped. We loved the spacious living area and bedrooms and also enjoyed relaxing in the sunny courtyard. It made a perfect base for exploring Canterbury and its environs. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful Rental in Canterbury”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2014

All transactions with the owners went very smoothly. This house is a nice, modern, spacious rental within a few minutes walk of downtown Canterbury. The house is updated, has nice furnishings, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and large TV with cable and Wi-fi. We loved the outdoor courtyard with furniture for morning coffee and breakfast. There is private off street parking. Gates can be closed and locked at night. The location was perfect for travel to the coast, to other towns, and is a short drive to many castles and gardens in the area. If not traveling by auto, the house is also close enough to walk to/from the train station. Enjoyed our stay...would not hesitate to rent this property again if I travel back to the area.

“A great place to stay in Canterbury”

We have family in Whitstable but chose to stay in Canterbury when we couldn't find anywhere there. Canterbury is a lovely looking city with lots to do for all ages. Whitstable was an easy bus journey away from just around the corner. Cedar Lodge was exactly as described and perfect for us. We were mum and dad with two of our kids and a friend for each of them. The large double room upstairs also housed the sofa bed so we took that room with the two 9 year olds. The second bedroom housed the teenage boys which gave them some freedom to stay up late watching their own TV so they were very happy. Lots of open plan space to spread out. Decor really smart. Only reason I put 4 stars for service is that we didn't meet anyone there apart from by chance as we left. But all the booking and information service was very smooth.

“Lovely holiday home in the heart of Canterbury”

A lovely home from home, set back from the road in a private courtyard with parking and within easy walking distance to the city centre. Cedar House is very spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. Excellent value for money and Sebastian was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

“Spacious, comfortable accommodation ideally located close to city centre”

We loved the space this apartment gave us. The city centre was an easy stroll - very convenient for seeing this beautifull city. Very friendly and helpful owner. All in all a great place to stay.

“Perfect for a quick getaway with family/friends wanting to visit Canterbury.”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2014

Lovely Scando-chic design with private and very accessible carpark. The house is well thought out, and having the two bedrooms on different floors offers privacy. All amenities you could wish for during a short stay. Location great - a short stroll to Canterbury High Street. The owner was very friendly and proffered some great local knowledge. I'd be happy to return there or recommend to friends.

“Lovely accomodation in the heart of Canterbury”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

This is a lovely property. The location is fantastic! It's super close to the city centre, but still very private and peaceful. I lived in Canterbury for two years and must say that this property is really unique and a much better deal than staying at any of the hotels in the area! The kitchen is well-equipped, there is a private garden, and huge windows overlooking the garden. Everything in the rental is clean and in great shape. There's a really nice bathtub upstairs and a shower in the 'pod' (separate bedroom) if you prefer. The owner Sebastian was really lovely, and was super helpful with all of our questions. Stay here, you won't find a nicer place. It is a hidden gem and we will definitely return.
