The Costa Calida extends along 250km from the beach of Carolina in Aguilas, a few kilometres from the province of Almeria, to the beach at El Mojon on the boundary with Alicante. This stretch of Murcian coastline is blessed with 315 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of 20 degrees. The area offers a diverse selection of activities for the visitor including all manner of water sports, hiking, hill-climbing and much more. Encompassed in the Costa Calida are: Cartagena - with its wealth of archaeological treasures including a recently discovered Roman theatre, many museums and a port who's history spans 3,000 years.
Sierra Espuna - magnificent natural beauty one of europes' largest National park reserves with a large selection of activities: Walking, Mountain biking, Quad biking, Kayaking. Multi activity weeks.
With its long hot summers, mild winters and fantastic scenery, its got the lot, perfect tracks, knowledgable guides.
Mazarrón and Águilas
Puerto de Mazarrón is a seaside resort town with excellent hotel facilities and a lively nightlife. You must visit the fishing port and the fish auction. The local coastline offers splendid beaches and unspoilt coasts. About 3km from the coast is the town of Mazarrón with some excellent buildings including the Town Hall and several churches. Here too you will find the ruins of Velez Castle. The coastal road takes you southwest to Aguilas, an old Roman fishing port. Hornillo Wharf, where iron was loaded for shipping still stands, a reminder that this was once a 19th century mining town. In the centre of Aguilas you must visit the lovely gardens in the Plaza España, the 19th century Town Hall and the impressive church of San José. In the high part of the old quarter stands the castle of San Juan de Aguilas, built in 1579. At the foot of the castle is the harbour and a typical lighthouse. The coastline here offers excellent diving.
Camposol which means countryside sun is the perfect name for this development as the area gets some of the best weather being located in the Murcia region of the Costa Calida. The average temperature throughout the year being around 20 degrees Celsius (65F), this is because when the sun is out in the big blue Spanish sky, the light ocean breeze doesn't send a chill down your spine, it just keeps you cool when your tanning yourself in the breathtaking surroundings of Camposol, also with the surrounding mountains offering protection from any type of uninvited weather pattern its the perfect choice for a holiday destination. With a regular bus service its easy to get about and visit the neighbouring towns. With around 7000 properties and over 3000 residents, Camposol is far from the typical small Spanish town. This huge community, which is home to many characters, has many stories to tell, and with each New Year that passes more people and more businesses are coming to call Camposol home. With all this in mind, the number of holiday makers choosing Camposol as their holiday destination is on the rise.
Camposol which is now just 15 minutes from the historical town of Mazarron & its many beaches, has a great atmosphere, and the people are friendly and welcoming. Camposol is host to many bars, restaurants, banks, a petrol station, a large supermarket, a 4 star hotel and much much more not to mention the huge Golf course.
Fancy yourself as a Tiger Woods? Here you can swing to your hearts content, there's a driving range, a club house and not forgetting the much rated 18 hole golf course. Even if you're not a golfer Camposol has much to offer and is one of the best holiday destinations in the Costa Calida.

"Fantastic family holiday destination"
I found the villa extremely spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It had a beautiful pool and great views over the mountains. The town of mazarron has a beautiful port with plenty of shopping, restaurants and a lovely beach. A great holiday destination for all the family. Would definitely stay here again!.

I loved this place. The solace of the Villa with its huge swimming pool and garden area. With a young family it was the perfect place as we lit the barbie in the eveing while the kids swam. Mazzaron Port is not far and if the kids were not tired from swimming we would drive to the Port where the atmosphere was electrifiying. Great value for money and i am waiting for flights to appear for next year! There were contact numbers if we needed anything which was lvery helpful too.
