Beautiful traditionally farmhouse with spectacular sea views, close to the beach. Just been fully renovated. Available all year - short breaks, minimum three nights.

This house is located in a enviable elevated location looking out over the Kilbrannan sound towards Arran. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard and perfect for a relaxing break with family or maybe a golf trip party making use of our three great 18 hole courses locally (Machrihanish, The Mach Dunes and Dunaverty) 9 hole course in Carradale is only a 15min drive away also. Ballochgair Forestry walk is only 500m along the road and perfect for mountain biking or relaxed walks with the dogs or family.

Located only Seven miles from Campbeltown on a road with stunning views the entire distance, it is an ideal hub for exploring the South Kintyre peninsula which boasts unspoilt countryside and coastline.

The shoreline in front of the house has many Forts/duns including a excavated Dun only 5 minutes walk away. There are rock-pools and a lovely sheltered bay for the kids/dogs to explore also perfect for snorkeling (wetsuit recommended!)

We have been coming to Peninver for over 30 years since the children were young (7 & 3 years old) usually staying in a caravan but now we are older, and my mobility is not good, we need a bit of space and luxury especially a hot tub. Ballochgair Farmhouse is without doubt the best place we have ever stayed nothing was too much trouble for the owners Felicity and Seumus. We even reminisced with them about the changes since we first started coming. Nothing was missing in the house even a welcome pack on the kitchen table plenty of towels etc., the house was so clean and comfortable. Readers please take the trip to Southend and keep going towards the Mull of Kintyre lighthouse, stop in the car park at St. Columba's footprints and enjoy a lovely clean beach to yourselves, perfect the same for Machrihanish and Westport Beaches. We cannot praise this farmhouse and it's owners high enough we will certainly return in the near future.

Stayed at the house over Easter weekend and it was truly wonderful. The house is very nicely done and warm. It is clear that every detail has been thought off. The hot tub was excellent treat after lovely walks and the views and the space and the open fires, just great for a truly relaxing time. The hosts Felicity and Seumus were really helpful and accommodating and we were also blessed with lovely weather too. Really look forward to going back.

Fantastic holiday home fully equipped and comfortable for our family of 4 and dog. Hot tub was great. Beautiful views across to Arran and beyond. Hospitality of owners was excellent on hand for anything. We'd definitely book again. Thanks Seamus and Felicity!
