Location description from owner

The Scotland region

An ideal location with excellent road and rail links to all the major cities in Scotland. For unrivalled and stunning scenery Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are within easy reach with breathtaking walks, fishing, hill walking and mountaineering. Why not explore the beaches of Fife or book a round of golf at St Andrews. Visit the lochs and glens of Perthshire then treat yourself to afternoon tea at the iconic world renowned Gleneagles Hotel. You may like to venture further afield to the rugged scenery of the Highlands or sail to some of the idyllic Hebriddean Islands.

Cambusbarron

The ancient town of Stirling is a few minutes away from the South Kersebonny Steading with its wonderful and beautifully restored 16th century castle dominating the landscape and steeped in its often bloody history. Wander up through the outstanding architecture of the old town where history comes alive. Stirling city centre has a plethora of coffee shops and restaurants as well as a diverse choice of shops to satisfy all tastes. A ten minute drive will take you to the Wallace Monument, dating back to the Victorian era. The 246 steps to the top is made worthwhile by the spectacular views of Stirling, Bridge of Allan and the surrounding countryside. From here you can look down on the University of Stirling with its buzzing Arts Centre where the backdrop of the Ochil Hills completes the picture.
