Very Good

“Great house. Great host. Beautiful right next to the amazing Camber Sand beach.”

Thank you for this wonderful Christmas break. We arrived to find the Christmas tree all set up and everything we needed for a family Christmas was there (plenty of kitchen dishes etc). All the bedrooms were comfortable and the upstairs one especially was a real treat to stay in. The open communal space was just perfect for us all to wine and dine and play games in and then step out onto the balcony and down to the beach over the road for our Christmas morning walk. Beautiful. Downstairs with the table tennis was also fun and we could see you have everything possible to help people have a fun stay in the summer too...wetsuits and swim shoes and buckets and spades. O and having 3 bathrooms was really handy for us all too. Thank you and we thoroughly recommend you as a host.

“Eco, comfy, coastal”

Thank you for a lovely stay at The Bay house. House is eco, comfy & stylish. Best & most comfortable beds I have ever had. All slept brilliantly every night!! Bathrooms***** Games room super for my teenage boys. Very close to beach & amenities. Highly recommend. The town of Rye is worthy of a visit.

“Christmas at Rye beach house”

Reviewed 27 Dec 2016

What a fantastic few days. The property is of a high standard with all the home comforts you could possibly need. The downstairs garage/table tennis room was fantastic, the table tennis playoffs were a regular evening activity. Ideal for a family with dogs as ours never needed to come up the stairs after their long walks on the beach they were happy to chill in such a large space. We managed to cook well with all the pots and serving dishes. Plenty warm enough even in December. Apple TV allowed us to catch up on Christmas tv we had missed. Camber was quiet but suddenly came alive on Boxing Day when every one from the south came to walk their dogs or even their horses! The booking process and information prior to arrival was excellent. Thank you

“Just perfect. When can we come back?”

We had a wonderful half term stay at Rye Bay Beach House. Superb location, (easy drive from London), perfectly equipped and furnished, very comfortable beds! Great showers, easy car parking, great restaurants and beautiful walks into medieval gem, Rye. The house is just steps from the beautiful Cambersands; the kids had a ball; when they weren't swimming, flying kites or jumping around in the dunes, they entertained themselves in the perfectly kitted out games room situated on the ground floor of the house. Wonderful to end the days with a glass of wine or two on the balcony in the evening sun! Nice touch with a little hamper of local products to welcome you on arrival. Rebecca and Kuros have given a great deal of thought to their lovely house. Thankyou; we will definitely book with you again.

“Delightful property in an excellent position”

Recently returned from a lovely week's stay at Rye Bay Beach House in (and practically on!) Camber Sands. On arrival, we were very kindly left a welcome pack of locally made scones with clotted cream and jam (yummy!), together with milk, apple juice etc - a nice touch and very much appreciated! The house is very homely, has everything you would need including amazingly comfortable beds with top quality linen - making it very difficult to get out of in the mornings!!! The only item we did miss, and this was probably noticed more due to the fact we had to get dressed up to attend a wedding in Camber, was a full length mirror, but this was the only item we did miss in an otherwise perfect stay!

“Brilliant weekend retreat right next to a beautiful beach”

Reviewed 23 May 2012

The modern designer feel of the house proves an ideal base from which to explore Rye and Camber Sands. The bed and bedroom were a real treat and the kitchen area had everything you could need. Table tennis downstairs was certainly our highlight. Must also recommend hiring a kite on the beach even if you've never done it before.

“great location”

Reviewed 19 May 2012

The location was excellent just across the road from the beach, the down fall was the garden room ,the sofa bed was quite hard , the room was dark, and there was nowhere to put clothes. There was every thing you would need in the flat and more , but maybe a few new deck chairs

Owner's reply: Thank you for the review. We aim to please & hate to disappoint so these points shall be taken onboard & acted upon immediately. We've not received a complaint in 4 years regarding the mattress, or the dark. Infact, this is a welcomed cool room come summer months and is bright & airy on a typical day. There is a dedicated wardrobe opposite the adjacent shower room. We shall make this more explicit in the house information pack. That leave the mattress. I'm off to the shops...

“Chilling out in Camber”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2011

Great location, just behind the dunes on one of the best beaches in the country and there is a friendly local pub, The Green Owl, just up the road. The house is clean, modern, tastefully decorated, well stocked with beach equipment, games and DVDs. We enjoyed meals and drinks out on the terrace in the sunshine and strolls along the beach in the evenings. The house was a great base to explore the local area - a short drive into Rye, Winchelsea and not far from Hastings and Battle. Overall, I couldn't fault it.

“Lovely house, Great Location and excellent value for money.”

This is a real find - so close to the dunes and beach and really designed and set out with families in mind. On arrival we found the house to be clean and tidy, with a surprise few basics (a fresh loaf of bread, biscuits tea and jam) which we tucked into straight away. The house is modern design, beautifully light and airy with plenty of space for kids to play. Showers (3 of them!) were powerful and plenty of hot water for my family of 5. Good quality TVs in each room and good wifi reception throughout. Table tennis in the playroom was a real bonus on the one wet day we had - kids played for hours!! We tried some of the recommendations and all were pretty good, although Rye Bay Cafe service is a bit slow (but very friendly)...
