Loxley Lodge is a privately owned holiday cottage in St Ann's Chapel, near Gunnislake. The lodge is situated in the tranquillity of the Tamar Valley, on the Cornwall/Devon border which has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Positioned within 30 acres of woodland, and with Dartmoor and Bodmin in close proximity, you could not wish for a better base in which to enjoy your holiday. It is the ideal location for a 360° tour of Cornwall and Devon.
With many wonderful tourist attractions nearby, you can rest assured that you will never be at a loss for things to do. Within a short distance from the lodge is the famous pannier market town of Tavistock and bustling city of Plymouth. No visit to Cornwall is complete without taking a trip to The Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Why not venture to the north or south coasts to explore their diverse coastlines and attractive towns? Or perhaps you would prefer to walk or cycle and take in the breathtaking scenery? From sports activities and tourist attractions to site seeing, there's something for everyone.

Lovely setting, great views and a lovely property. Very clean, everything we needed and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Thoroughly recommended...

Very please with accommodation no complaints at all and would recommend to others. The only thing I would’ve liked was WiFi in the house not just in the restaurant but that was only a minor problem
Owner's reply: Hi there Thank you for the review - most kind, it is always nice to read that people have enjoyed their stay. We have not been able to have WIFI put in the lodge until now due to lack of phone line (which is not permitted on site) however, we hope to have a mesh system put in later this year which we hope will work well. Other than that we can tether our phone to provide a wifi option for emails etc. We do hope you will come back and see us.
“Excellent lodge with all home comforts you could need.”
Loxley Lodge is in a lovely quiet position overlooking wonderful views of the Tamar Valley. We stayed with our daughter and 5 grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed their holiday. The Lodge is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and we were very comfortable. Our 9 year old grandson wanted to exchange Loxley Lodge for his own house!!! Our expectations were fully met and we would be very happy to recommend Loxley Lodge to our friends.

Loxley Lodge is a fantastic home from home holiday cottage situated in the heart if the Devon and Cornwall countryside. We had a fabulous holiday and was very impressed with the standard of accomodation Robin and Dee offer. It really has a from home feel and they have thought of everything. We were especially impressed with the quality of entertainment available in the cottage, with lots of up to date DVD's and games which kept us entertained in the evenings for the week. Loxley is within easy reach of all attractions including a National Trust property literally just down the road. A trip to Looe and Bude beaches are well worth it and the walks between Cothele and Calstock give you amazing views. Plymouth is a short drive away and Tavistock village offers a fantastic market on a Fri / Sat. Overall our holiday was a memorable one and we would definately stay at Loxley again and have recommended this to our friends and family. Many thanks to Dee for keeping in touch throughout our stay and recommending some of the beautiful places that Devon and Cornwall has to offer.
“Absolutely fantastic place to stay”
We loved every minute of this beautiful lodge.the amenities were just like home from home for us.it was wonderful. The position was brilliant,as we have 2 little dogs,and the dog walk was right beside the lodge. The views from the lodge are stunning. We would def recommend loxley lodge to stay in.

“Great relaxed holiday cottage”
We stayed at Loxley for a sort break with my Dad, Sister and nephew. Its a really well apppointed, comfortable and relaxing place to spend some time. The weather during our stay wasnt the best, so we probably spent more time inside that we expected, but Loxley is such a great place to be, it didnt affect the holiday. We also had great help from Dee, the owner. I left a kindle behind and within a few days she had arranged for it to be sent back to me. Top service :) If you are looking for a holiday base in Cornwall around the Plymouth area, then Loxley is a great choice.

This was our second stay at Loxley Lodge, and everything was as perfect as our first stay, Dee has thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, Loxley Lodge has a real home from home feel about it, a fantastic view that you never tire from. The local area has some lovely restaurants, all within a short distance of the Lodge, Callington is a short drive away, where there is a local Tesco to buy all your every day bits and bobs, it also has some really good take always and an excellent Chinese restaurant. On site there is a pub / restaurant where you can have a quiet drink, but unfortunately the food was not up to a very high standard.

We were worried what we would do as the weather had been so bad but from the moment we walked in - we felt at home. We were able to get out most days, but on the days that the weather was too bad, we chilled out at Loxley. Dee and Robin have a large selection of DVDs and games which kept us amused. We loved it so much that we hope to come back in May next year. Thank you so much

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If DEE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
