Transcendent Lodge is one of the rare, premier VIP lodges at Honicombe Manor. If you want one of the top lodges on this holiday site, this is it. It boasts a luxury, personal hot tub and extended balcony over-looking tranquil landscape.
It is a beautiful two-story, three-bedroom timber and stone, 'premiere' alpine-style lodge. It's fully and recently refurbished with new carpet throughout, equipped to a high standard with everything you need for a relaxed, self-catering family holiday. There are new lounge sofa-beds (photos need updating) and a new flat-screen LED TV (the one in the photos is the old one). We also have brand new patio furniture for 2015.
This lodge always gets fully booked in the summer and Christmas/New Year. So book early to avoid disappointment! We've kept our prices the same for several years.
It truly is the PERFECT escape! On the first floor there is a fully fitted modern kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge all with modern furniture and neutral decor. From the lounge/diner you can step out onto the extended timbered balcony, breathe the fresh Cornish air, enjoy the views and relax in tranquil surroundings.
The lounge has a new digital flatscreen TV with a DVD player. Free WiFi is available from the Manor House a short 2-minute walk away. Unfortunately it does not extend as far as the lodge accommodation.
The lodge has three attractive bedrooms including an en-suite double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. This lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people when the sofa-bed is used. If this lodge is a little out of your budget, the owner also has another, smaller lodge (maximum 5 people) in Newquay at the Atlantic Reach holiday site. The lodge ID for the lodge in Newquay is 1285661.
The lodge is set in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', and boasts extensive recent refurbishments that enhance its idyllic setting amidst acres of woodland and streams, Honicombe Manor unites a glorious rural location with something to suit everyone. Close to historic Plymouth, this is a wonderful base for exploring the south-west peninsula and creating truly unforgettable holiday memories. "Superb premier lodge in beautiful countryside"
We're always a bit mindful of blindly booking a holiday place after a previous bad experience, so we try to help others by writing a review of every new encounter! No such bad experience here, Transcendent Lodge was magnificent and we can happily recommend it. The lodge was clean throughout, in very good order. Nothing can be as spotless as we have our home (very fussy we are), but this lodge was close enough and well above average. The hot tub was heaven. The staff were incredibly helpful. There was no WiFi at first, and my husband needs this. One quiet word with the reception staff and we had it within the hour. Lovely bar and the swimming pool was refreshing too! Wait... Did I mention the hot tub? Glad we paid a bit extra to have this lodge over others on the site that were a little less expensive. It was definitely worth it as we saw some of the others that didn't have hot tubs or balconies. Will definitely come here again and will stay at this lodge again too.

"WOW!what an amazing place to get away from it all."
The accommodation was like home from home. The property was clean and well maintained and had all equipment any family could want to keep all ages entertained . The site its self was amazing, tranquil with beautiful streams running throughout the site. We were surprised that the facilities were open on site over the new year period, this included entertainment every evening in the manor house, a gym and indoor swimming pool.If you looking for a perfect location and for accommodation offering all home comforts , then this in my view is the place to go.We will most definitely be looking to book again.
