“Wonderful”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2016

We were very surprised at the wonderful Lodge, the whole holiday site was clean and the staff were very friendly, we went out everyday, there are loads of things to do and see. this is an extremely scenic part of the country and will definitely be visiting again in the near future. The Hot tub was my high light to the stay and I enjoyed relaxing in it most of the evenings, the only downside was that the tub could not be used for a few days Sunday till Wednesday due to the water changing black. The out door heated swimming pool was my children's delight. The Eden project was an enjoyable visit and we went to Looe for the day and played on the beach there. The boys went fishing in Plymouth and caught loads of mackerel and we girls went shopping in the mall. We eat out for our main meal every night except for one where we had fish and chips for Dave's fish and chip shop just five minutes drive away. A big Thank you to Dee and Robin for the lovely friendly approachable hospitality. Very enjoyable.

Hi there - thank you for such a lovely review - we look forward to welcoming you back anytime

“Perfect base to visit Cornwall”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2015

We booked Robins Nest through the lovely Dee. The lodge is located on a small holiday park is a little Cornish village and is surrounded by trees and woodland. The park itself has both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a small gym. The lodge was very impressive. It has its own private driveway with parking for around 3 cars, and is set above the other lodges in a fairly secluded spot. On entering the lodge the sleeping accommodation (1 x double & 2 x twins) is on the ground floor with a separate shower room and a jack & Jill bathroom which connects the double. Upstairs is a tastefully decorated lounge with two large leather sofas and a table with 6 chairs. Next to the lounge is a fully equipped kitchen with kettle, microwave, hob, cooker, fridge and freezer. The lounge has a large television with freeview and a DVD player. To my surprise there were two boxes full of upto date DVDs which made for an enjoyable evening or two. Outside of the Lou ge is a large balcony with a table and 6 chairs, and also some nice wooden recliners which we enjoyed with a glass or two. The main star is the hot tub which is on the veranda outside the main bedroom. This was used every day by the six of us, sometimes more than once! I would recommend Robins Nest and would definitely stay again. You are between 45 minutes-1 hour to places like Padstow, Eden, Looe. There are local pubs within walking distance and a local convenience store 5 minutes away. There is also a small van which arrives on site with essential items, however we found a few days it didn't turn up so best not to rely on it. Overall a great place to stay. Beds comfy and lodge fully stocked with everything we needed
