This beautiful and stunning 2-bed chalet sits outside the Norfolk Broads. It is a delightful place to have a relaxing coastal break with a small selection of places to eat and drink on site. As well as a 14th century church, California also boasts a beautiful sandy beach with a high quality pub/restaurant overlooking it. Visit neighbouring Ormesby St Margaret and Hemsby for a wider range of amenities. For a dose of nature you can head for the Norfolk Broads where the scenery can be explored; this is a great place for walking also, or head for beautiful Norwich city for a day's shopping and you can explore museums and architecture whilst you are there,

At the back of the chalet, keep walking past the Oasis Club [8/10 minutes], there are beautiful flowers to look at and you can sit on the bench and enjoy the pretty little waterfalls behind you, giving a very relaxed feeling. There is also a park where the children can play.

There is a booking office nearby the waterfalls where you can book in from day to day to visit various places by coach, if you are not driving; The places are all advertized at the booking office.

The indoor swimming pool for adults and children had been closed due to COVID government regulations. If now open you must pay at the door. You can either come back to this delightful open plan living room where you can sit and watch the new Freeview TV with the family, or eat in the pub/restaurant overlooking the sea, or in the Club Oasis, or cook your meal in the newly furnished white kitchen [a new kitchen] and eat at the table for four.

After the day's out and about, you can be refreshed in the beautiful bathroom with newly installed shower over the bathtub.

If you did not feel to drive, the bus stop is just opposite Chalet 5. Bus 1A.

This great holiday place is well furnished:

- Settee and 2 armchairs

- Dining Table and chairs for four

- New TV

- Cooker

- New Fridge Freezer

- Wall Clock

- Crockeries/pots and pans and all you will need for a holiday home.

- Kettle

- Microwave

- Iron/ironing board and clothes rack

- Electric heaters if you need them.

- Deck Chairs if you need to use them [in back bedroom cupboard]

- Duvets and pillows in the bedrooms

- YOU MUST BRING BED LINENS AND TOWELS [reflected in a good price]

- Bring £1 coins for slot meter for electricity. Meter in cupboard by the window in the lounge.


There is a keysafe on the wall outside the chalet close to the right hand front window in which there is the key to open the front door. Once you have fully paid, the owner's phone number and email address will be given you. Trip Advisor will let the owner know it is time to let you have the keysafe number and any other details, e.g. phone numbers to contact if you need any help at all, although things are normally straightforward. The owner will let you have details of where everything is in the chalet to make life easy for you.

A week's holiday is from Saturday to Saturday. You enter the chalet after 2pm on Saturday and vacate by 10am the following Saturday.

Your Sat Nav or Google,map, even from your mobile phone will show you the best way if you are driving. Public Transportation will depend on where you are coming from. If you are travelling by train, Great Yarmouth Station is the nearest. You can either get a cab from the Station or walk up to Market Gates and wait for Bus 1A - they run every 20 minutes at the height of the season or half an hour when it is quieter. Bus 1A drops you almost outside Chalet 5, close to the Reception Office. Remember the Post Code is NR29 3QL, which will work for you to find the location on your Sat Nav or Google map.

THE SEASON: 1ST MARCH - 31ST OCTOBER. Get your booking in NOW. if you came last year, you might wish to come back this year.

WEEKEND BREAKS = Friday, Saturday,and Leave on Sunday

I know people have had to leave this chalet. Because of uncleanness, damp, ants all over. Be prepared to be disappointed.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Daisy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
