Fantastic front line beach location in Las Piramides del Puerto, Caleta de Velez near Torre del Mar. Apartment is all on one level on the 2nd floor with a lift. Communal pool and tennis court. Two bedrooms (one double bed and two single) each with patio doors to the side terrace with mountain view. The lounge has sliding patio doors to a south facing terrace with superb views overlooking the sea front and promenade. Refurbished throughout with new fixtures and fittings. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle with handrails inside. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas and electric hobs plus a BBQ style grill, larder fridge and a freezer. Free WiFi, Flat screen TV with free view and Multi-channel Internet TV, DVD player, inside dining table as well as outside. Baviera Golf is within walking distance or 3 mins drive. The Costa del Sol region

The Costa Del Sol is renown for its excellent climate throughout the year, which makes it one of the most popular holiday destinations. Not only a summer resort but the mild climate means you can take advantage of a range of outside activities during the winter months. Caleta de Velez is situated between Torre del Mar and Algarrobo Costa - both are within easy walking distance.

The area is flat and has not been over developed as with some of the west coast areas - original features have been preserved so you can still enjoy typical streets, squares, traditional food at good prices. There is a good bus service into coastal resorts east of Caleta de Velez such as Torrox Costa or Nerja, famous for its caves, 20 minutes.

Malaga city can also be reached by bus and has a train station to some of the resorts on the west coast. A small working town slightly inland close to Torre del Mar is Velez Malaga. Some typical white washed Andalucian villages to discover such as Frigiliana and Torrox Pueblo.

Caleta De Velez

Caleta de Velez 4 km long flat promenade/beach stretches to Torre del Mar - approx 10 minutes walk and in the other direction to Algarrobo Costa. You'll will often see joggers in the morning so if you want to get fit then this location is perfect and its on your door step! The promenade does continue along further than 4 km for the more experienced runners. Alternatively there is a Fitness Gym that you can use on a pay as you go basis near the apartment blocks.

There are bars and restaurants on the beach and promenade serving traditional specialities. There is exercise equipment and children's park facilities on the beach at Caleta, Algarrobo and Torre del Mar.

There is a bus stop just two minutes across from the apartment block and there is Aldi supermarket so you can take the shopping trolley that's in the apartment and walk across easily.

There are water sports as well as boat moorings at the marina which is just a few minutes walk. On the other side of the apartment block is like a traditional town with lots of little family run cafe bars, restaurants plus supermarkets, banks, bread shop, cake shops, a new gym etc.

Every Saturday morning this area hosts a huge street market, great for local produce - this is one of the best markets in the area.

An aqua park is close by as well as a shopping centre called El Ingenio. Baviera golf is close too.

Cyclists can hire bikes in Torre del Mar from 4 euros per day or scooters from 14 euros per day or even a motorbike from 34 euros per day. If you don't fancy running along the promenade then a cycle ride is great too because it is all flat!

At night if you walk along the promenade towards Torre del Mar you will find the main area and nightlife.

“Very nice apartment / perfect location”

We spent one week here, intentionally in September, after the summer crowd. It has been proven that it was a good idea, as the place was absolutely perfect for relaxing. It is worth to visit Malaga and Nerja, the cave is wonderful. Donna, the manager organized the airport transfer for us, and since we arrived late on Saturday evening, it was really nice from her to put some food and drink in the fridge. She was very kind and helpful. The owner, Christine was also very kind during our communication. The apartment has a fantastic view on the beach and the mountains. Very well equipped (in fact the kitchen is rather over-equipped with the grill unit). Huge fridge, an other freezer, microwave, The bathroom has been fully renovated in February, and is also very nice. Each 2 bedrooms and the living room has separated air conditioning, and the WIFI is also working well. Everything is spotlessly clean and nice, we were very happy with the general design in the apartment (not the rich and flowery Spanish one :-)) One thing to mention, the beds are a bit small, the double bed size is 135*190cm,, the two single beds are 80*190 I think. Thanks for the great place and service Christine and Donna, we really had a lovely week. Hope to come back one day. :-)
