Location description from owner

The Canary Islands region

Fuerteventura is the second largest canary island, the least populated and closest to the African continent. Mile upon mile of soft white sands, never-ending sunshine and cool breezes across turqiose blue seas making the island a perfect playground for sun-worshippers and water sports fans alike. Average temperature between 20°C to 25°C throughout the year, similar to Florida!

Corralejo, once a quite fishing village, is now a popular resort with sand dunes and long sandy beaches. Enjoy the laid back cafes and bars in the Old Town with the sound of Spanish guitar.

Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste, also known as Castillo, is a relaxing and cosmopolitan resort where most of the activity is centred around the harbour and the horseshoe shaped sweep of golden sand beach. A very family orientated atmosphere with kids and parents alike, out and about into the late evening, dining in relaxed and laid back resturantes and cafes.

The town has grown into a major tourist town on the Island with two golf courses, a major shopping centre with numerous shops, bars, cafes,multi-screen cinama (in Spanish) and ten pin bowling.

You are never short of things to do in Caleta de Fuste with all the usual watersports available as well as boat trips, diving, and even a submarine offering undersea excursions.

The nightlife is pretty varied too with plenty of bars offering all kinds of entertainment from live music to karaoke and a wide variety of restaurants including Chinese, Italian and authentic Spanish.

Because of Caleta de Fuste's central location it's easy to explore the rest of the island if you hire a car.

“Very nice villa”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2015

Villa Dwarika is very clean, airy, very well kitted out with everything you could want. It's position is also very good, nice easy stroll to beach, close to hotel & shuttle bus but far enough from the golf course so some muppet like me doesn't put a ball in your pool! Hot tub is a nice touch. We found lots of nice places to eat & taxis are very cheap

Thank you for your review and am sure other guests will find this useful.

“Beautiful villa, brilliant hot tub and pool, excellent location, perfect!”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2015

I booked villa Dwarika for one week as a surprise for my husbands birthday. The trip doubled as an escape for us from a hectic year following our wonderful wedding, the stresses of moving to a different city, exams, travelling and more, before the start of our second year of marriage. We were welcomed by Donna and Roy who gave us a brief tour of the villa and showed us how to use the hot tub etc. The villa is picturesque, very clean, cosy and wonderfully decorated. The kitchen has plenty of appliances, and cutlery. The bedrooms are all spacious and have comfortable beds. There is air conditioning in the living room which was fantastic, as well as the master bedroom. All other rooms have electric fans. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of our pool and hot tub. The villa is on the golf resort and very close to local town centre and beach. We hired a car- it was a lovely luxury to have as we did travel to the north and south of the island to explore, but in hindsight for the two of us we would have been fine with taxis too. For families with children a car would be a must to take make the most of the holiday. There are a number of restuarants in the local shopping centre, and a supermarket for you to stock up the fridge and freezer with. Thank you villa Dwarika for wonderful life long memories. I hope I can relive those moments with my husband at Villa Dwarika again.

Thank you for your review and the pleased you had a great time at the villa.

“Great villa perfect for 8”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2015

After university 8 of us went for a group holiday to the villa. It was a fantastic week and we had a wonderful time! The villa was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The pool and hottub were fantastic and well maintained. The villa had plenty of room for 8 people to stay, with well sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and communal space inside, outside and on the roof terrace of the villa - we ate dinner up there every night which was lovely! Just a 20 minute walk from the shops/coast it was a great location, or we frequently used the free bus service! Thank you for a great week!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We have had a few guests who have rented to take a hard earned break after their A level or university exams. Excellent for a group of friends to relax and enjoy in a spacious accommodation. Will be memories for ever!

“The perfect family getaway - revisited !”

Reviewed 2 May 2015

This was our third time staying at Villa Dwarika. As per previous reviews we love going back for one simple reason... it does everything it says on the tin. Beautiful villa, warm pool, excellent hot tub, complete with everything you need inside and all set in a peaceful location. New wifi has been a very welcome addition and works great (€15 fee to service provider for the week). We have four children (4,6,8,10). We always rent a car (which I really recommend to make the most of the holiday) and this helps also with young kids as the beach/shopping centre is about a mile away. The local contacts (Donna/Roy) are very helpful as is the owner (Harsukh). We personally like Caleta de Fuste over other towns on the island. Shops, restaurants, beaches etc. are great. Enjoy !

Karl, As always, your reviews are helpful and clearly, you and the family enjoy the villa to have booked for 2016! Thank you

“Outside space is what makes this villa”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2014

I have rated this villa as very good, and think this is fair reflection of what we got, however some aspects of the holiday deserve better. To start with the communication with the owner was perfect. They always came straight back to us from start to finish, they accommodated us when our flights changed and were quick to give the deposit back, so for that, excellent. The people in the resort that meet you at the villa are friendly and welcoming and available if needed, although we did not, so again excellent. The villa itself is on the outskirts of town. We didn't know the area when we came and although we had a car wanted to be close to the amenities. The villa is about a 15 minute walk to the shopping centre, but a further 15/20 minutes on to the main resort where the bars and restaurants are. We tended to walk to the shopping centre first, there are a few bars/restaurants here and trampolines for the kids, have a drink and then walk on to the resort via the new promenade. On the nights we wanted to go straight into town we ordered a taxi, for a minibus type it was only 4.50 euro each way. For us this was fine as our kids are older, but wonder that if you had small kids or it were the height of summer this would be too much. That said there is plenty of parking in the resort and as stated above, taxis are cheap and readily available. The villa itself was spotlessly clean on our arrival both inside and out. It is not a new villa and could be described as a little dated, or typically Spanish, depending on your view. That said the beds were the most comfortable we have slept in on holiday, there was always plenty of hot water, even if you were the last to shower ( and with three girls among us that is pretty good) and the shower pressure was good too, no trickles here! The kitchen, although again slightly dated, had everything you could want, except glasses, which there was a severe shortage of. We ended up buying some, as drinking wine out of a plastic tumbler is not for me. However, who goes on holiday to spend their time inside. And the outside is where the villa comes in to it's own. The pool, being heated was lovely, heated to a good temperature, which was needed, as in April although the weather was warm think that it would otherwise have been too cold. The hot tub is again lovely. Again kept to a good temperature and both were cleaned regularly during our stay. The are plenty of sunbeds, all fairly new and comfortable. The roof terrace was a real added bonus, and not really mentioned in the details. With a far reaching view over to the sea, and a cool breeze, it was a great place to relax during the day and a lovely place to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. Again with plenty of sunbeds and a table and chairs, this was my favourite place to be. So to summerise, this is not a luxury, state of the art villa, but if you are looking to kick back and relax, with a swim during the day and a BBQ and a beer in the evening then this will suit you down to the ground.

Thank you for your feedback and all the Dinner Sets, Glasses and Cutlery has been replaced.

Me, my partner and daughter had a lovely time at villa Dwarika , the pool was so lovely to cool off in , also the villa had everything u needed so it was nice just to stay around the villa, although we did go around town etc and there's plenty of shops and restaurants nearby , also plenty of supermarkets but we hired a car which we found useful , all in all it is a lovely place to stay and would recommend , hope to stay again ! “The perfect villa holiday”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2013

We stayed at Villa Dwarika for one week at start of April. We are a family with four children under eight. The villa was magnificant and exactly as represneted in the descriptions. In particular we were delighted to find that the pool was very warm and the hot tub worked perfectly (something which spoiled our holiday in another locatioin the year before). The villa is approx 1.5km from the main village which is a pleasant walk but something to consider if you have young kids. However we rented a car from the start (Autoreisen - at the airport) so this wasn't an issue. Caleta the Fuste is a really nice village with good shops and restaurants. Good sandy beaches also however we were happy to stay with kids in villa. I also did a resort dive at the diving centre with my eight year old boy - something I thoroughly recommend - they were really great there. Jet ski hire was also fantastic! We had problems connecting to the wifi but there is good 3G coverage and I was ok with this for the limited internat access I needed. The owner was extremely helpful, providing a welcome pack with useful information and generally facilitating us in all our small requests. The on site managers (Donna and Roy) were equally helpful and friendly. We would also strongly recommend going to Oasis park. It's like a (nice) zoo with animal shows (e.g. Sea lion show). We weren't expecting too much (and it seemed expensive) however it was the highlight of our stay - don't miss it ! On the other hand we were a bit disappointed about Baku water part. This was very expensive to get in and then you have lots of extras once inside. In summary, we had the perfect holiday and are already thinking of next year !

Thank you for your review, very much appreciated.

“Excellent, comfortable villa on Golf Complex”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2013

Villa Dwarika is a very comforatble villa on Campo de Golf, Caleta de Fuste. The pool and hot tub are excellent, with all you need for a great holiday. Its ideal for families, couples and golfers who want a quiet, comfortable retreat, but near to all the shops, bars and restaurants via a ten min walk, or two minutes in car, the hourly hotel bus, or very reasonable taxi. Donna and Roy the management team are spot on, with any issues and very happy to meet you at the villa on arrival.

Excellent review that will assist others. Thank you.

“Fab visit - villa was perfect”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2012

our party consisted of 7 adults (3 married couples + 1 single) for our Christmas break. We chose carefully as our requirements were for separate bedrooms for all and use of heated private pool and jacuzzi. The villa totally fulfilled our requirements in these respects and offered additionally a lovely roof terrace which was good when the sun went down, plenty of outdoor seating and a barbecue. The villa was spotless for our arrival. Taxis were plentiful and cheap so no need to hire a car. We used the pool every day aand the jacuzzi many times a day. We just wanted a relaxing Christmas break. All our needs were catered to with plentiful crockery, etc, a large fridge, dishwasher (which was a godsend) and washing machine. The caretakers were friendly and helpful. The local supermarket in the Atlantico Centre had everything we required.

Firstly, thank you for your review that will assist other guests to make a decision. Both Donna and Roy, do a fab job in maintaining the villa to the top standard. I will try to give the same service that I would expect when I am on holiday and have been on many to give me insight into what is right and wrong. Thank you. Harsukh

“Brilliant”

Reviewed 28 Dec 2012

My husband and myself stayed here for two weeks and had brilliant time. It's a real home from home and has everything you need there. It was booked on very short notice and the service and personal touch were great. Donna and Roy who look after things are wonderful and very friendly and go out of there way if there are any problems and we'd like to say a big thank you to them. Overall we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday and will be returning in February with our grandchildren.

We try to make it easy to book the villa even if it's very short notice. Very please you had a lovely experience.
