The Canary Islands region
Fuerteventura is famous for its wide variety of water sports such as Wind surfing, scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling and kite boarding. You can also participate in camel rides, horse riding and buggy rides throughout the island and marvel at the spectacular landscape.
The island is also famous for its golden sandy beaches and the seclusion and tranquillity cannot be equalled by any other island. It is the longest and second largest of the Canary Islands and from the northern town of Corralejo you can take a 15 min Ferry ride to Lanzarote.Fuerteventura is about 90 kms from the west coast of Africa, and is the second largest of the Canary Islands.
The island has the best climate of all the Canary Islands with nearly 3000 hours of sunshine despite this fact and that it has some of the most stunning scenery to be found in all the Canaries, it remains one of the least visited islands. Therefore the island is very much less developed, and has miles of beautiful white un-crowded beaches.
The lack of visitors ensures that those who want to get off the beaten track can easily find peace and tranquillity on the many deserted beaches and other areas of stunning natural beauty.
Caleta De Fuste
Caleta's beach is a 10 minute walk away and was carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe. This ensures it is perfectly safe for children of all ages. Those wanting to be a little more adventurous can go diving, hire jet skis or learn to windsurf at the water centre on the beach. The harbour is home to many yachts, catamarans and boats which provide local trips as well as providing a beautiful backdrop in the evenings.
Caleta de Fuste is the closest town and has a wide variety of high quality restaurants, bars and family activities. Every Saturday morning there is an African market on the main street selling a variety of African Souvenirs and trinkets rich in African culture. A modern commercial centre, the Atlantico Centre, is nearby and includes boutiques, more restaurants, a supermarket, a multiplex cinema, and bowling alley.
The Capital Puerto Del Rossario is approx 20 mins north of Caleta. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around. Corelejo to the north has the world famous sand dunes along with Baku water park these are 45 mins drive away. To the south there is La Lajita Oasis Park Zoo and the endless beaches of Costa Calma and Jandia these are also about 45 mins drive.

"Perfect Relaxing Holiday in the Sunshine"
We've returned from a fantastic holiday at this apartment, even extended the holiday to nearly 3 weeks.. Losing count of how many times we've rebooked. Christmas is already booked and paid for, so bring it on. It suits all our needs as a family. A private sun terrace on the roof with 360 degrees of sun. Heaven, if you are a sun worshipper like myself. :-) Even better the privacy and tranquility of the area. The apartment is spotless and well equipped. The local area is ideal for bars and restaurants as well as an easy walk down the hill into the Town Centre where there is more choice of bars and restaurants and shops. Our favourites to eat are the Pickled Palm, which is just at the end of the road and in the Town Centre . . . Fado Rock and El Patio. Delicious food with excellent service. The Owners of the villa/apartment . . . Clare and Jerry are on hand if any problems, which we never experience but it gives you a reassurance. Also they respect your privacy and leave you alone. Once you try this place you will want to book again. Happy holidays. :-)
Thank you so much for taking the time to give your lovely review. We are always so pleased to have such great feedback about the apartment and the area. It is always great to see returning guests especially twice in one year! We really look forward to seeing you all again in December, Take Care Clare and Jerry

"Fabulous spacious apartment, great location"
We cannot speak highly enough of our experience at this apartment. Owners Clare and Jerry were so friendly and helpful and supplied lots of information about the local area. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, well equipped and had a great roof top terrace with fantastic views. There are a couple of small, well stocked supermarkets and a number of bars/restaurants very close by however a steady 10-15min stroll gets you into the town/to the beach. Although we hired a car, it’s not essential as everything is on hand within the Resort. This was our first visit to Fuerteventura but will certainly not be the last. Thanks again to Clare and Jerry for such a fantastic holiday.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, and we are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday with us. We really do hope we see you both again in the future. Have a wonderful summer also with your planned trips. All the very best, Clare & Jerry

"Great villa, fabulous hosts and a pub to boot."
We have had three long let stays in Jan/Feb now and enjoyed each and every one. The villa is in a perfect location on a quiet residential street. Having said that a mere 2 minutes walk away and you have a supermarket on hand for all your shopping needs. There is also a British shop in the same complex for those special 'I miss' items. Also within the complex there is a choice of restaurants and now a newly opened chippie. Last but not least within the complex is the best pub on the island (in this writer's opinion) officially known as the Bell it is more affectionately known as Gordon's Paradise Lounge. The local market is on a saturday and is also within 2 minutes walk. A leisurely 15 minute stroll will take you into Caleta itself with its bars and restaurants (everything from a curry to paella). The beach in Caleta is massive and a shallow run into the sea perfect for kids (and oldies like me who like to paddle).
Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review, guests thoughts are always very much appreciated. Look forward to seeing you next time, All the very best,
