Description from owner

The perfect location - right on the beach!

Escape to the coast and relax in our unique "cool caravan", situated right on the beach with uninterrupted sea and coastal views. Inside the cosy, beach-style static caravan you will be able to unwind and de-stress, with the calming sound of the waves in the background.

Enjoy a brisk walk along miles of clean, sandy beaches or simply soak up the sun, sand and sea as you step outside your door. It is also the ideal location from which to explore the uncrowded Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines, picturesque villages and the world-famous Norfolk Broads. The Broads at Ormesby and at Filby are just 3 or 4 miles away. The seaside attractions at Great Yarmouth are only 3 miles away.

More like a seaside cottage, our individually-styled "cool caravan" offers all the "home from home" comforts you would expect in a self-catering holiday home.

Sleeping 4, the accommodation consists of:-

• Double bedroom with TV/DVD, hairdryer

• Twin bedroom (2ft 6" beds, can be pushed together)

• Family bathroom (access from hall and main bedroom) small bath with shower over, and hand basin

• Separate WC and hand basin

• Fully fitted kitchen with range-style gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge with ice box (small freezer compartment), microwave, toaster, kettle, etc

• Living room with corner sofas with stunning beach and sea views, round dining table; pull out small double bed (large single); TV/DVD, radio, CD player; gas fire, games and books

Leads out onto an enclosed raised deck with sea and beach views.

Gate from deck leads to 3 steps down to a grassed area alongside the caravan with sea views, bench table/seats and parking for up to two cars

Laundry with washing machines and tumble driers and iron, payable on site

WiFi available free of charge on fair use basis

Travel cot and high chair available free of charge on request. Please ask.

Sleeps 4

If the weather takes a turn for the worse, there are throws, blankets and cushions to curl up in, magazines and books to read, candles for romantic suppers and a selection of DVDs, music and board games. There is also outdoor furniture for al fresco dining and soaking up the sun.

The caravan is located at Caister-on-Sea, approximately 4 miles north of Great Yarmouth. It is sited at Elm Beach Caravan Park, which is a small, select, 4 star site that prides itself in offering a safe, peaceful and friendly environment where you can recharge your batteries and "chill out". There are no entertainment facilities, such as pubs, shops and recreation areas at this site. However, these are available within easy walking distance. It is also just a short walk into the centre of Caister.

Outside the caravan, there is parking for up to two cars, and a grassy area for sitting out at bench table provided. As you walk outside you are literally a few steps from the sandy beach . The beach is quiet even in the height of summer. There is a cafe in Manor Road 5 minutes walk away, open all year round, and the quiet Never Turn Back pub next door.

The centre of the village of Caister-on-Sea is only 5-10 minutes walk, with supermarkets, a fish shop selling fresh fish, a butchers and a bakery. There are also restaurants and take-aways eg Indian, Chinese and fish and chip shops. Great Yarmouth offers old fashioned seaside fun for all the family. It is possible to walk there along the beach, or take one of the regular buses from Caister.

The Norfolk Broads are 5 minutes drive away, from where you can hire a boat or canoe, or walk or cycle along footpaths and boardwalks. The location is an ideal base to explore the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines and quaint villages. The city of Norwich, perfect for shopping, is 1/2hr away by car.

We bought the caravan on a whim, after visiting the Norfolk Broads and ending up at the coast. As we were standing on the beach it started snowing - it was magical. We thought how nice it would be to own one of the nearby caravans, overlooking the sea. And that's how we ended up buying a caravan.

We are still amazed by how much this area has to offer, and how much more there is to discover. Whether you enjoy walking, sailing, fishing (directly on the beach), cycling, wildlife, photography, painting, the thrills of a seaside town, shopping, or just watching the world go by, there is something to suit everyone, of all ages.

Minimum stay normally 7 nights. However we will consider a shorter break out of season - please ask for a quote.

Arrival:- we do not live locally, so there is a key safe on the side of the caravan, so you can let yourselves in when you arrive.

“Great Seaview Happy”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2016

Nice clean and tidy caravan on a well looked after site. the views from the caravan was really nice and peaceful. loved the night time with the moon shiniing through the windows. and the waves crashing on the beach. kids loved it as they was so close to the beach without walking which was good for us. The site had a laundry room which was reasonably price with good machine, would highly recommend the site for a nice and peaceful enviroment.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review our holiday home. So glad you enjoyed the caravan - and the sea view. The moon over the sea, and the sunrises are magical. Hope to welcome you again sometime.

“Attention to detail and a perfect location”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2015

Every care has been taken by the owners to ensure that this holiday home is the perfect getaway for everyone. There has been a great deal of thought put into the presentation of the rooms, using natural materials often gathered from the seashore itself and carefully arranged. It is extremely well equipped with many thoughtful touches which elevate it from good to excellent and yet it remains a cosy and homely place to stay. The location is amazing... looking directly out onto the beach and cannot be overestimated as a big plus when holidaying with children as I was. We stepped out of the door onto the beach with no need for shoes or toting heavy bags full of beach stuff. We simply walked back and forth to the van enjoying all the beach had to offer. I would recommend this highly as one of the best located and best presented holiday homes I have stayed in...and I have stayed in a lot! My granddaughter said this was the best holiday ever and I could only agree with her.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed it. For us it is not just a holiday rental, it is also our own home from home to escape to, but with the bonus of the beach at the door and a sea view too! We would love to welcome you and your granddaughter again sometime.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review our holiday home on the beach. Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again some time.

“Peaceful & relaxing”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2014

Caravan clean & relaxing with everything provided for a good break, WiFi an added bonus. Location almost impossible to beat with views of an ever changing sea scape. Very quiet site yet near amenities if required, bliss...

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review our place - we are so glad you enjoyed staying there and found it as relaxing as we do. Hope you will visit again sometime. Jo & Steve
