Featuring 4 Bedrooms plus 2 lounge sitting rooms sits among World Heritage listed rainforests and a mountain-top view from a private swimming pool and outdoor spa.

There is a seperate sofa bed - sleeps 2 in the sitting room

The Retreat is a comfortable and secluded getaway, nestled amongst the tall trees of the surrounding World Heritage listed rainforest. It is just a few minutes drive to the main terminal to access The Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest and Kuranda Skyrail. The world famous Paronella Park and the Cape Tribulation are also only a few short kilometres away, not to mention all the beautiful islands waiting for visitors.

The fully self-contained accommodation at The Retreat features panoramic views of the escarpment and gorgeous visiting Ulysses butterflies. Situated on a secluded and immersive block with undisturbed and dry heath flora, the peaceful tranquil setting of The Retreat is perfect for a relaxing couple’s hideaway. Alternatively, its spacious open-plan accommodation provides an affordable holiday for groups or families up to 8 people.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:

SLEEPS UP TO 10 GUESTS. Step through the entrance and you are immediately greeted by the spacious open floor plan joining the lounge room, kitchen, dining room and reading room. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, a large space for dining and a large wrap around lounge area with comfortable seating. The lounge features a TV with Netflix and Spotify. The living space opens out onto a deck featuring panoramic escarpment views from the deck of the swimming pool - add a Martini and relax within the tropics of Far North Queensland.

We include all linen and towels in the rental fee and there is a cleaning cost which covers laundering. The home should be left neat and tidy as per when you moved in. Any extra cleaning required to return the home to original condition will be deducted from the bond.

Otherwise, we are happy to leave the keys for you at the property. We have 20 years of experience living here in Cairns and are more than willing to tell you the best places to have brunch, which trips to the reef are the most fun or other tours you might not know of. While you stay with us in Cairns we want you to feel like a local and experience Cairns in a way that only a few of us truly know how.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
