“Beautiful location, ideal for exploring Snowdonia”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

The chalet was well equipped, and impeccably maintained, with everything we needed for a short stay with our two year old. The location in the park was beautiful - the weather certainly helped - and was an ideal base for exploring neighbouring towns and snowdonia.

“Nice Weekend”

Lovely little chalet in a prime location, quick drive to town but also a short walk if you want a drink. Lovely holiday park for families or couples. Nicely furnished home kept very clean! Very helpful info book also. Would happily stay again anytime.

“Great stay, lovely accommodation, great value!!!”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2014

We were a group of three lads who wanted to escape from the mundane work routine and the hectic life in London to the beautiful North Welsh mountains. We had to choose a base for our 3 day visit and we chose Pen-y-bryn in the Glan Gwna holiday park. We booked it online and were very happy with the clarity of instructions and the directions given. But we would never have guessed the pleasant surprise that awaited us. The setting of the holiday park and our chalet was amazing. We were surrounded by beautiful green trees, a really quiet area and we had friendly people all around. The Chalet itself was simply superb. The room was self sufficient and was very clean. It was a very cosy cottage with 2 bedrooms (one with a bunk bed) and the other with a double bed, a fully functional kitchen and a very clean bathroom. The living room was even better with comfortable seating, TV, books, information manuals and also Easter eggs to greet us! The attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. After long days of sight-seeing and travel it was just the home we needed to come to and unwind. The one downside was perhaps the lack of wifi and limited internet connectivity but with everything else so perfect we were not that bothered really. We were enjoying ourselves way too much. Also a special mention for our manager Diana who was ever so helpful. All in all it was a great stay and value for money at the offered price. We were sad to leave the place and would go back in a heart beat. We are already recommending it to friends and family and would urge all other people reading this to give it a try. Happy holidays!

“Well kept, gorgeous views and comfortable rooms!”

Very lovely little chalet and very dog friendly. Sparkling clean bathroom and bedrooms and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and keep our food for the week. Ironing board supplied and the launderette was close at hand too. The Poolside Bar was gorgeous and served wonderful food. Right next door was a heated swimming pool that we wish we'd used now, seeing as the weather held out for us. The Wi-Fi in the bar kept the youngest happy too! We all came home with tans! We'll be recommending to anyone who asks and even to people who don't- and we'll certainly be coming back again ourselves for another week next year. Thanks for a fantastic trip.
