Location description from owner

The England region

We are based in the most southerly region of the British Isles. Helston is the nearest town but Falmouth , Penzance ,St Ives and Truro are all within an hours drive.

There is so much to see and do you won`t do it in one holiday.

Cadgwith

The Lizard peninsular is very special.formed almost entirely of serpentine rock its rugged coastline on one side and little fishing villages and cosy coves on the other not to forget the Helford river with its hidden creeks and lush valleys. Wonderful tropical gardens to explore, and of course the south west coast path which is within walking distance from the cottages.

“Lovely, relaxed stay in a perfect location”

Reviewed 1 May 2014

The cottage is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable for the two of us. We were made to feel very welcome by Liz when we arrived and felt very comfortable at all times on site. The location is fab and feels nice and remote and we were were able to walk to local villages such as Lizard and Cadgwith, as well as local sites like Kynance Cove and Lizard Point. Fresh eggs are literally across the road at the farm opposite, £1.20 for half a dozen. Best of luck to Liz and her husband in their adventure, the set up you have here is excellent and it's almost a certainty we'll be back!

“Perfect getaway, cosy warm cottage and friendly welcoming owners”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2014

We arrived on a wet Friday afternoon. The cottage is gorgeous, very warm and cosy. The cream tea was delicious. Liz was welcoming and gave us really useful suggestions about the area. Mo our dog loved the fire after a hard day on the coastal path. Stunning views, friendly locals, we would recommend staying here again.

“Relaxing and Welcoming”

Warm and friendly welcome upon arrival, Liz and Mike were very helpful and friendly through out the stay. Cottage was perfect size for me, my partner and our spaniel and was clean and tidy and well equipped for all our needs. Good location for exploring the area, although in winter months will need a car as not so easy to walk across the fields to get places. Lovely place to stay and would go back again.

“Warm welcome and simple style super surroundings”

Two autumnal weeks in Cornwall. Wellspring well situated, comfortable (great bedding and shower), and lovingly turned into a quaint wee house containing all we, and our two Yorkies, needed. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming and ready to help in any way they could. Cadgwith on a Tuesday night was enormously entertaining and the whole area offered the kind of things we enjoy - coastal walks, art and craft, food, music .... Recommend it to everybody except those who expect a first class phone signal or cloudless skies. Enjoy the mystery provided by Cornish mists instead.... lovely!

“Friendly, homely and cosy.”

Liz was very helpful from booking on the phone and throughout the stay, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was well equipped, clean and lacked nothing, every detail had been thought of - well recommended.

“Ideal location and welcoming hosts”

Reviewed 11 May 2013

Upon arrival we were greeted by Liz and Mike who made us feel very welcome! Even more welcome was the delicious Cornish cream tea. The accommodation was very well presented and ideal for the two of us and our dogs! Liz and Mike always made sure we were comfortable whenever they saw us! Even coming with fresh towels part way through our stay! The location is perfect for exploring the Lizard peninsula and we particularly enjoyed spending time at the Cadgewith Cove inn and exploring the coastal paths and secluded beaches! We will definitely book here again!

“Perfect little getaway”

We stayed at Wellspring Cottage whilst house hunting in Cornwall. We were made very welcome by the owners. The cottage is so pretty and a lot of thought has gone into the decor. The cottage has a lovely hot shower along with fluffy towels and the kitchen had just everything you could need for a short break. Will definitely be back soon..

“We will be back!! SOON”

What a lovely week we had staying in `Wellspring`.Everything we needed was there. Lovely Lizzie provided us with hot pasties as we arrived .The area was a revelation as there was so many places to visit . The sun shone and many walks were enjoyed. The guide books and map left for us in the cottage helped us get the best out of our break. We WILL be back as soon as we can to discover more of the Lizard.
