Set a five minute walk from the town centre, Number One The Laurels is in a quiet conservation area of Buxton. It's peaceful position offers the best of both worlds- a five minute walk down the hill takes to to the Buxton Opera House, the Buxton Crescent Hotel, the Pavilion Gardens and many other delights offered by this beautiful market town. A five minute walk up the hill takes you straight into the stunning Derbyshire scenery. Just be prepared for hills no matter which way you go!

Number One is the ground floor apartment of a beautiful Victorian Villa only a stones throw from the impressive Devonshire Dome, built for the 5th Duke of Devonshire. On site parking makes this a very convenient place to stay whilst visiting Buxton. If you want to enjoy Buxton and all it has to offer you may not need to get into your car! Or use it as a base to enjoy the local walking or visiting any of the stately homes nearby - Chatsworth, Lyme Park & Haddon Hall are all within a half hours' drive.

The apartment has 2 doubles bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - one kingsize and the other twin / super king. A spacious open plan kitchen - living - dining room makes for a sociable stay, with nobody missing out on the conversation whilst preparing a bite to eat. With only 3 steps to the front door, there is level access throughout the apartment. The apartment has been tastefully furnished to a high standard so you can enjoy all the comforts of modern living within this beautiful period property.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
