For lazy days, there are numerous pavement and riverside bars and restaurants where you can unwind and simply watch the world go by! The large town of Nontron, famous for cutlery and knives since the fifteenth century, is an easy 20 minute drive and Limoges, famous for porcelain is approximately 45 minutes drive. The beautiful town of Brantome, steeped in history and known as France's Little Venice, is also just 45 minutes away. Explore the shops set into overhanging cliffs and meander along the little cobbled streets. Take a break in one of the many bars and restaurants overlooking the river, or a boat trip which is like travelling back in time away from the bustle of modern life.
