Northern Ireland region

Craigalappan Cottage is deep in the heart of the stunning Causeway Coast and Glens region of Northern Ireland. Famed for its rugged coastline, stunning countryside, historic castles and picture-postcard villages, this area is one of the most beautiful in Ireland, increasingly featuring as a film location in productions like Game of Thrones. There are excellent hiking and cycling routes throughout the area as well as plenty of family-friendly activities. And with Belfast just an hour's drive away, the city and all its attractions including the new Titanic Quarter, are in easy reach.

Bushmills

The Giant's Causeway World Heritage site is a few miles from the cottage near the famous whiskey disillery town of Bushmills. The town offers galleries, good restaurants and world-class salmon fishing on the River Bush. Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is further along the coast with its heart-stopping views from on high and noisy seabird colonies. Ballintoy Harbour has stunning views along the rocky shoreline and a quaint tea-room. Whitepark Bay beach is just a mile and a half from the cottage. Its long golden sand beach arcs along the coast and offer families lazy days out amongst the dunes with picnics, paddling and sand castles.Nearby there are thriving seaside towns such as Portrush with excellent restuarants, bustling nightlife and plenty of attractions - from amusements to surfing - to keep families entertained.
