Description from owner

Description

Araboy Cottage is a cosy detached cottage situated on a quiet country lane near the North Antrim Coast. There are two bedrooms (sleeps 4 + baby). It has a wood burning stove and is very well equipped and comfortable. Close by are Whitepark Bay (very beautiful and our favourite place), the Giant's Causeway, and Carrick- a Rede Rope Bridge. Slightly further afield but within easy reach are the Downhill Demesne near Castlerock and to the East, the Glens of Antrim.

Bushmills, our local village, has 3 good restaurants, several cafes, 3 supermarkets, a fortnightly cinema show at the Bushmills Inn and of course, last but not least one of the oldest distilleries in the world(1608).

There are 8 golf courses including Royal Portrush within a 10 mile radius.

The North Antrim Coastal Path is an exceptional long distance footpath which can be divided into sections and there are numerous shorter walks in the area.

A visit to Rathlin Island and its famous bird sanctuary

A visit to Rathlin Island and its famous bird sanctuary is not to be missed, also the scenic train journey to historic Londonderry. A drive along the Coast Road is a worthwhile trip or to Belfast to visit the new Titanic Centre( just over an hour away) is another idea.

Our visitors have uniformly enjoyed their stay at the cottage and “home from home and very comfortable, excellent location” are the most frequent comments.

“Cosy Cottage in the perfect location for exploring the Irish North Coast.”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2014

Araboy Cottage was a delight to discover set in a semi rural location but close to Bushmills and the stunning north coast. The Giants Causeway and Carrick-a -Rede Bridge are an easy drive away. It was lovely to be surrounded by green fields and curious sheep. I highly recommend the Cottage for couples and families. Plenty of open space for picnics and exploring.
