The summer includes a fairground in July and Lifeguards patrol the beach during the peak summer season. (Don't forget the Tattoo)

The accommodation consists of a large modern comfortable lounge with a door which leads out to an undercover veranda and faces south which is ideal for having your breakfast or sundowner drinks in the evening., a twin master bedroom downstairs and a twin balcony room accessed by a spiral staircase.

There is parking for two cars (height restriction due to railway tunnel prevents large roof racks) to the private property.

Easy walking to the Sands Hotel just approximately 2 minutes away.

The cottage is ideal for Golfers who want to play the courses in the Kingdom of Fife, known as the 'home of Golf'. Look up the Fife Passport which is great value.

We are more than happy to accept a dog as the Fife Coastal Walk runs along the side of the Cottage, perfect access to walk the dog to the beach and the town. Fife Council declare that the beach is safe and clean.

Burntisland high street is an easy eight minute flat walk, where there is a good selection of village shops, two small supermarkets, post office and Banks.

The location is ideal to visit the famous City of Edinburgh either by Train, Bus or Car with all the delights of the Scottish Capital at your disposal.

“Everything you need for a tranquil holiday with local amenities a stone's throw away.”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2016

Absolutely fantastic location for a holiday. The cottage is directly on the edge of the Firth of Forth with breathtaking views across the water towards Edinburgh. All can be enjoyed from the living room, small terrace at the front of the house or simply by sitting on the sea wall at the bottom of the garden. The local amenities are comprehensive and the choice of activities to partake in locally are huge. Walking, golfing, swimming, rock pool exploration, sitting on the beach, fishing, dining out, fairground, crazy golf and many more activities for the whole family. Great location too for day tripping into Edinburgh to the south or the Beautiful Scottish Highlands to the north and the quaint fishing harbours and seaside towns along the coast of Fife. Contact with the owner Cliff was friendly and helpful and the wonderful Elaine who looks after the property was a fantastic and helpful contact to have for the duration of our two week stay in the cottage. The cottage itself is equipped with all a family of 4 need to cater for themselves and comfortably furnished with a homely atmosphere that's ideal to relax in on an evening. The only thing we missed was a regular oven but there is a microwave/convection which can be used for cooking ready made meals. We (mum, dad, 7 year old and grandma) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and hope we will be lucky enough to do so again in the future. We will certainly look back on this holiday as one of the best ever an feel ourselves privileged to have stayed there. Thank you Cliff and Elaine

Brilliant news, thank you so much for your kind comments, it was always an issue with my Mum when she was alive, she couldn't get used to not having enough space for an oven, perhaps one of these halogen round ones would be better. I am delighted you like the Cottage and the location, I will pass on your comments to Elaine, she will be thrilled. Kindest regards; Cliff

“Fabulous views perfect location warm comfortable home from home”

Easy booking experience. We were greeted on arrival and the cottage was lovely and clean and very warm. The welcome pack was very substantial and much apprieciated, thank you. We are a family of 4 with children age 16 and 7. The children loved the open galleried bedroom reach by a spiral staircase. Our downstairs bedroom was big with good storage the view over the award winning bay was magnificent. The beds were very comfortable we all slept very well. The views from every window was lovely I definately chilled out watching the sea from my armchair with a glass of wine in hand. The lights across the sea in the evenings was lovely. The trains sound like wind so you don't even notice them after the first day Although compact the kitchen was well equipped. Storage for groceries was restricted. But we did self cater all week apart for one takeaway from burntisland fish & chip which were lovely. Burnisland has everthing you need within 5 minute walk so you don't need a car. The train to edinburgh cost £15.80 return for a family of 4. Burntisland also has a good regular bus service. Park and ride from forth road bridge cost 10.80 for the day We had a lovely day in Edinburgh zoo. We saw the sleeping giant pandas, so cute. The pigmy hippos and koala were great. Well worth the visit. We will have to revisit this area and would definately rebook seaside cottage. Thank you for a cosy warm home from home in a lovely location

“Sooo relaxing”

We had a wonderful stay at Seaside Cottage with our dog, Benji. To open the curtains in the morning and see the sunrise was breathtaking. Super walks along the beach and many friendly chats with the local dog walkers. Would certainly recommend it and hope to return next year.

“Fabulous Holiday”

What a fab week had by all, the welcoming pack was superb ( the dogs enjoyed there treats), the cottage is well equiped, lots of good walks (for the dogs) beautiful views from every window, so close to all amenities and the local people were so friendly, can not wait to book for next year.

“Charming cottage in a fabulous location.”

Had a wonderful stay in Seaside cottage with my elderly parents for a week. We had to tear ourselves away from the views which each window gave to explore the surrounding area. Located near and overlooking Edinbrugh, and walking distant to a resturant and village the cottage is an ideal setting. First time I've stayed anywhere that looked exactly like it did in the photos. Would happily stay again.

“Wonderful seaside cottage with fantastic panoramic views”

Reviewed 7 May 2012

We found our week in Seaside Cottage so relaxing. Every window has a coastal view of the ever changing shipping traffic in the Firth of Forth. The beach is virtually on the doorstep and just perfect for early morning/evening walks particularly for our dog who certainly enjoyed our stay too and made very welcome by the owner as we were ourselves. A short walk away is the Links area where children can enjoy the play area equipment, crazy golf etc. A nearby Hotel provides excellent food and entertainment if required and a pleasant walk through the Links takes you to the town's High Street where, though only a few shops, you can find almost anything you may require. All in all, a lovely complete holiday rental package.
