From the owner

This charming country house is located in Castrillo del Val, a little settlement next to St James´ Way in the province of Burgos. The villa has been restored to its original splendor: the significance of its traditional origins is highlighted by the use of local materials, limestone mainly. Timber beams and floors in natural pinewood give our house a unique atmosphere that combines the charm of history with the latest in comfort.

The house has 3 floors with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a full equipped kitchen, a large dining room and plenty of living spaces with fireplaces to loosen up. All the interiors are decorated with superb antiques and art pieces bought in our travels all around the world. The 1.700 square meters leafy garden also has an enchanting dining area sheltered by a grapevine, ideal to prepare barbecues with friends.

Located in the middle of northern Spain, it is the perfect place from where to explore not only the extensive territory of Burgos, but also other main cities like Madrid (2h), Bilbao (1h), San Sebastián (2h). An incredible area touched by the wand of a unique history and the greatness of universal Culture and Art.

Burgos is also famous worldwide for its gastronomy, and of course for its red wines; note it is located between the two main Spanish wine regions, “Ribera del Duero” and “Rioja”, so if you are a wine lover this is the place to be. You can visit some of the main centenary wineries and get all the insights from the production, first hand.

How do damage deposits work?
