This lovely villa is located in the charming traditional village of Burgau at the edge of the Natural Parque of the Vicentina Coast. A short walk to the sandy beach takes you downhill through picturesque, narrow cobbled village streets with small shops, cafe bars and restaurants and close to a slipway with little fishing boats. Burgau is a small, friendly. quiet and peaceful village with loads of Portuguese character. The nearby larger village of Luz , 4 km to the east, has more shops and facilities and larger still is the attractive, historic town of Lagos, 12 km, for shopping, night-life, marina and zoo.

The villa is perfect for family holidays with 2 en-suite bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a private pool and a sunny veranda and a small terrace to add extra sunbathing opportunities.

The Townhouse is located in a cul de sac with no through traffic and with free parking. The bright attractive lounge also has a dining area which seats 4 and there is TV, DVD and free Wi Fi.

Patio doors lead from the comfortably furnished living area to a sun drenched patio with a private pool and sun loungers. The separate kitchen opens onto the patio where there is a table and chairs and a BBQ , making it perfect for al fresco meals.

There is such a lot to do in the area from all kinds of water sports to golf, tennis and horse riding and wonderful walks along the coastal paths in the natural park and if you have a car there is the fantastic, rugged west coast waiting to be explored.

Prices are inclusive of bed linen, towels (except beach towels), electricity wi fi and maid service. There are no extra charges.

We can be flexible on arrival days so that you can take advantage of cheap flights.Extra nights are charged at 1/7th weekly rate.

The front door opens from a covered gated patio into a small hallway with a guest bathroom and shower on the left and stairs to the bedrooms on the right. The attractive lounge and dining area open onto a sunny patio with private pool. The separate kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine and it also has a door to the patio with table and chairs and a charcoal barbeque.

The house is fully air conditioned and has free wi fi.

Upstairs, the en-suite double bedroom has a 5 ft, bed and opens onto a sunny veranda with table and chairs for two.

From the veranda you can see the sea to the left, while looking to the right you can see the green area and cliff tops of the coastal path and the Parque Naturel de Vicentina, a protected nature reserve which begins just metres from the villa.The en-suite twin bedroom has a small veranda to the front of the villa and there is a door to the small terrace at the top of the stairs.

The covered area by the front entrance has a table and chairs which makes it perfect for calm private moments in the shade!

Burgau is in the Natural Park of SW Alentejo which stretches to Sagres & Cape St. Vincent, known as 'world's end' and known for amazing sunsets. The Park includes the wild western coastline with towering cliffs bashed by Atlantic surf and small villages perched beside remote sandy coves. The natural beauty, wildlife and sheer variety of scenery are remarkable, from rugged coastline to the wooded hills and pretty mountain villages in the Sierra de Monchique inland.

Boasting 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, The Algarve has a near perfect climate with not-too-hot summers, mild winters, the scents of wild flowers in spring and autumn warmth - it's no wonder people never want to leave!

There is so much to do in the area from water sports and surfing, tennis, walking, horse riding to exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

The local restaurants and cafes provide delicious foods from local fish, meats, vegetables and fruit accompanied by wonderful local wines.

Dolphin watching boat trips are very popular, as are trips to explore the many grottoes or caves. With several water parks east of Lagos and Lagos Zoo and Omega Park Zoo there is plenty to keep the family occupied if you can tear them away from the fabulous beach and beach bar!
