It is 500 meters from the sea.

It is located 40 km from Iglesias,
16 km from Masua (Porto Flavia)
40 km from Carbonia, 65 km from sant'antioco and calasetta.
90 km from Elmas.

Buggerru is definitely beautiful and evocative, is located at the mouth of a deep gorge, which slowly descends toward the sea, the view of the bay is closed to the north by Capo Pecora and south are towering cliffs. Buggerru was founded as a mining town, but now is a city with tourist destination, thanks to the magnificent sea, mountains, vegetazionie wild and rich in history.
The first place to visit is Cala Domestica, to reach Cala Domestica take the road that climbs up the slopes of the mountain in the road that leads to nebida and iglesias (CA) via aquaresis (mine), After a few about 4 km, some curve ... descend after passing a water deposit visible on the right of the road from the sea, turn right to reach Cala Domestica in about 2 miles.
The small cove, up to 940 was used as a port for the shipping of minerals extracted from the nearby mine Acquaresi. In the eighteenth century, to protect the beach was built a tower, still present and suggestive. The most 'beautiful is the spiaggeta nestled between two rocky ridges with crystal clear water. Ps. Camera a must :)

the center has a small beach with a very impressive coast that lies to the north of the marina, as well as a series of limestone buttresses very spectacular.

The resort is closed between two towering shoulders of limestone, with a strip of turquoise sea that fades to dark blue to off. The cove was once used as a mining port, it is now simply one of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia. In addition to the main beach, which still bears obvious signs of mining activity, you can visit a secondary beach which can be reached through a tunnel carved into the limestone that leads to a secluded cove Cove.

Other beaches lie to the north, near the village of Portixeddu which has two distinct coasts: the northern shore, or Portixeddu, is very wild and spectacular, with magnificent pine frame domesticie a series of sand dunes. The second beach is located south of the town, in the direction of Buggeru is called Beach of St. Nicholas, with golden sands and a Aulente outline of the Mediterranean. If you have time should go to admire the landscapes of Capo Pecora, where walking trails allow you to explore the cliffs of granite rocks.

From Buggeru you can go hiking in the mountains of the interior as well as visit the henry gallery. Very interesting are the remains of the Temple of Antas, which is located about ten kilometers over Fluminimaggiore. It is a Roman building of the imperial era, which has been rebuilt recently, but still has a great appeal evocative.
