Description

GREAT NEWS.......... Our apartment has met all the strict requirements of the local licensing authority in Almería and is now full licensed for rental purposes.

In addition to this we have now achieved the much coveted TripAdvisor "Certificate of Excellence" award which makes us very happy and proud indeed and is a reward for our efforts to correct previous problems which we promised to do and did because as we pledged in the reviews replies section and after a thorough inspection we have recently renewed the fridge freezer, the Samsung washing machine has been repaired with the correct Samsung spare part and it worked perfectly for 2 weeks during our stay, we have also purchased 3 new white sunloungers (they only had 3!) the others are still fine though plus the ceiling fan is repaired and a new shower hose and shower head is fitted. We also renewed the curtains and cushions in the lounge and fitted new aircon in the bedroom. There is also a new first aid kit and fire extinguisher. The apartment is now in great condition after our inspection visit and in future our guests will be met on arrival and departure by our English and Spanish speaking agent who now handles management of the rentals on our behalf plus we are always available by phone or email for any queries or problems if you encounter any! There is a folder too in the apartment detailing how everything works ie. TV, WIFI, Washing machine, cooker, aircon etc. and literature regarding some local attractions.

We have worked hard to help you to enjoy your stay at our apartment and hope you have a lovely time and visit us again in future as quite a few guests do.

The apartment is a lovely well maintained one bed roomed air conditioned penthouse (attico) just 11 years old.

WITH FREE WI-FI BROADBAND FITTED PLUS WIRELESS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD FOR SURFING THE NET OR EMAILING.

It can Sleep two people in comfort in two single beds in the roomy air conditioned bedroom and It has a large balcony outside the living room with sun loungers,dining table and chairs and a large parasol.

A spiral staircase leads to a large roof terrace with lovely views of the Mediterranean Ocean which is just five minutes walk down to the beach and offers extensive views of the Sierra Nevada mountains range to the rear of the apartment.

The secure complex has a lovely pool and a lawned pool area with a childs learner pool in beautiful laid out gardens.

It is very tranquil and peaceful with many Spanish residents also living in the apartments.

it is approximately just 350 yards to the lovely promenade and takes just five minutes to reach on foot from the apartments rear entrance.

We have recently installed FREE WI-FI BROADBAND allowing access via the internet to thousands of TV channels in Europe and much further afield including most of the British channels, including SKY, ITV & BBC and some Premier league games, some of the latest movies and soaps and you can also send e-mails and surf the net free from theTV set via Google Chrome, a new wireless mouse and keyboard are also available in the apartment.

The apartment is also close to bus stops to and from the Gran Plaza shopping centre each way costing around 1 euro 35 cents for each person and takes about 10 minutes each way depending on traffic volume.

Just returned from another visit to this lovely apartment. All just as good as last year. Clean and well equipped. The shopping trolley was a great asset this year. We love the outdoor space which overlooks the pool and well kept gardens. Already checked for flights for next year but unfortunately for us Jet 2 are not flying to Almería from Edinburgh as we would not hesitate to book again .

“Spacious and excellent outside space”

Good location, easy walk to the vast beach which usually empty on the days we visited, and not too far to walk to the local bars and restaurants. Dave picked us up from the airport and gave us a tour so we got our bearings and Agatha was in touch to make sure all was well and also arranged for the internet to fixed. Apartment was clean and well equipped in a quiet block with well maintained gardens. The only issue we had and it’s no fault of the owners the swimming pool was closed for the whole of the time we were there and still wasn’t filled with water when we left today ,why do this work in June and not in the winter months??? If we were to visit Almeria again we would have no worries about staying at this apartment again

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your apartment. Met by Agatha who was very helpful showing us round the apartment and telling us where the bars and restaurants were, also showing us the back door making it easier to get to the beach and promenade.Loved the outdoor space although we never used the upper terrace. Lovely complex with beautiful well cared for gardens and pool area.Hope to return next year.

Owner's reply: Many thanks Alfonso for your kind review it is nice to see and read that the improvements and investment we made are getting our great reviews back on track and our new agent is brilliant with our guests. We took our barbecue away after several complaints from other guests in other apartments and other related problems indeed most apartments don't have them or pantries either which is not something we have ever been asked for as we have always supplied a large fridge freezer which is more than adequate for 2 guests which is now our maximum and also removes the sofa divan comfortability "issue" relating to them. We will however look at supplying a shelf in the bathroom or a small cabinet for toiletries as this is a fair point.

Owner's reply: Sadly the new agents we got were useless so we no longer use them and we are personally flying out on February 21st to meet another agent who comes highly recommended by our friends who also have a penthouse apartment in Roquetas! Whilst there we will personally assess and oversee that any required repairs are done properly and are buying a new washing machine as the last repair failed again! We will also check out the fridge problem and if required will replace that too! The sunloungers are simply faded because of the amount of sun they receive but the cushions were renewed in May last year However the loungers will be inspected again and if required will be refurbished or renewed too! In future Guests will be met and shown around the apartment and met again on leaving to hand back the keys after damage inspection has been done by our new agents. We are determined that our highly valued guests Have an excellent stay in our apartment and urge them to inform our agent of any problems and if for any reason they do not get a swift response to then contact us on our mobile contact number which we will give to all guests in case of any urgent matters arising! We are determined to get our normal 4 or 5 star rating back again as soon as possible. Best wishes Dave and Pauline.

Owner's reply: We have recently changed the agent and the guests will in future be met by him at the apartment with the keys. He will also liaise with us and our guests to sort out any problems they have. We removed the barbecue in April 2 months before her booking and we will not replace it as it created problems for other guests. There is a fully automatic washing machine for our guests laundry requirements, so we do not understand her complaint here. In respect of returning her deposit it took six separate emails to her to get the full bank details, she took several days between each message to reply. As soon as we had all her details her deposit was returned. We always try to give excellent value for money and to make our guests stay problem free. A look at our other reviews will confirm this. We urge all our guests to let us know immediately if there is any delay from our agent to respond to their request for assistance, sadly she did not do so. Pauline and Dave

“Trip To Almeria”

Bit of a mission to get to Roquetas de Mar having never driven there before. But we made it, the apartment is in a nice residential block with a clean pool. The apartment is better than ok for the money but it has a few minor issues, washing machine door, tv works when it wants, as for the mouse to operate the tv,your better of just pointing your finger and hope, shower hose broke.Beds are small but surprisingly comfy and no problem. Not much goes on but that's OK long empty beaches with good walks and a few nice spanish bars. Would I recommend this? Yes but don't expect to much.

Owner's reply: Thanks Gordon Sorry about the minor issues you encountered but most tv's in the area requiring British programmes are dependant on the wifi signal which is usually fine.the mouse and hose are now replaced and an engineer has been contacted about fixing the washing machine door problem. We pride ourselves on keeping the apartment as good as we can and always respond to any issues our valued guests raise with us as soon as possible to make their stay as enjoyable as we can. How do damage deposits work?
