The Central Hungary region
within walking distance of Rady Utca , Thanks to the many indoor and outdoor cafés, bars, restaurants and galleries located here, Ráday Street (Ráday utca) has a special character. This bustling neighborhood is often referred to as 'Budapest Soho'.
Ráday Street also has plenty of beautiful buildings. One of these is the Ráday Library, located at Ráday utca 28. It was founded in the 18th century by landowner Gedeon Ráday, the person the street was named after.
Budapest's first restaurant to receive a Michelin Star, Costes, is also located on Ráday Street.
Mainly due to recent large-scale housing redevelopment and ensuing gentrification, in the past 15 years former working-class Ferencváros has become one of the most attractive districts of Budapest. It is massively popular with lower-middle to middle class twenty- and thirtysomethings, with property prices to match the hype. As a real two-in-one, it suits the hip and trendy set both for its vibrant urban scene and as a quality place to live. Thanks to the large amount of greenery, especially around the midsection called Central Ferencváros and further to the south, especially in the low-rise Attila József housing estate, the area has healthy outdoor spaces unequalled in central Pest.

"Great place, great location, great guy."
My eighteen year old daughter and I stayed here and loved it. Booked it on the return, too. Very nice place, with plenty of privacy. The 11th district has a Bohemian vibe that we really liked, and it's half a block from the tram, which will get you downtown or to the train station, and three blocks from the metro and a biggish grocery store. Two blocks from a couple good restaurants. Julian was an absolute delight. Smart, funny, laid back but on top of things. Could not ask for a better host or a more interesting conversationalist from the airport. He suggested we check out a place called Szimpla, which turned out to be kinda mind blowing. You can walk to the city center, which I would recommend at least once during your stay, but it's a good half hour hike. And it doesn't seem that long. I would go out of my way to put a friend onto this place. Highly recommend.
