From the owner

This stunning recently refurbished city centre apartment is located in the heart of down town Budapest. It is a second floor apartment overlooking both the street and court yard. It is next to St Stephen's Basilica-Szent István Bazilika, a few minutes' walk to the Danube River for boat trips (including to Vienna Wien), the main metro interchange, Deák Ferenc, Parliament and Vaci Ut the principle shopping street. For evening entertainment the apartment is surrounded by restaurants include a Michelin star restaurant next door, the opera house is, a few minutes' walk away. Once here you do not need a car for anything. The building itself was built in the late 19th Century and the apartment is fairly open plan with parquet flooring and 4.3 metre ceilings. It has a full American kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, twin sinks, microwave, as well as washing machine and tumbler dryer. The apartment is ideal for relaxing holidays, weekend breaks, or a base for exploring the region. There is a cot and high chair if required. The apartment is approximately 86 sq metres (900 sq ft).There is secure underground parking in front of the apartment building which also has a cycle hire facility. Both of these need to be paid for separately.

Key dates: Hungarian Grand Prix usually end of July, Sziget Festival usually second week of August, St, Stephen's Day 20th August, 23rd October Republic Day.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alastair (the owner) a message.

If Alastair (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
