Driftwood is situated in one of the best positions on the Park, having an amazing, panoramic sea view, close to all the facilities (but far enough away to be peaceful), on the edge of the beautiful wooded hillside of the award winning, Park Resorts, Bideford Bay Holiday Park.
Driftwood is a cosy, coastal chalet, with a bright, modern, beach themed decor with driftwood wall art adding to the 'seaside holiday' atmosphere. Both the lounge and double bedroom boast stunning sea views.
The park has many facilities including a shop, launderette, restaurant and take away, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, (outdoor pool open from end May - beg' September), organised activities and entertainment and children's clubs. There's also a children's soft play area, adventure playground, all weather sports court and crazy golf. There is plenty to entertain the kids making it a perfect destination for families.
To have access to the pools, entertainment and crazy golf, entertainment passes need to be purchased from Reception, (details below)
There really is something for everyone, making it a perfect holiday getaway for couples too. For the energetic, the coast path which leads from the park can be taken to the quaint, picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, with it's famous cobbled sloping street, or a steep walk down through the woods to the beach of Bucks Mills, is well worth it. Just a short walk away is a shop and Post Office at Bucks Cross.
Driftwood is ideal for up to 4 people, having one double and one twin bedroom. The lounge, with incredible views over the bay, has a drop leaf dining table, (to create more space), with seating for 4, and is open plan to the kitchen. A door from the lounge gives access to the balcony where there is a Bistro table and 4 chairs, from where the views across the bay to Saunton Sands, Lundy and on a really clear day, the coast of Wales, can be seen. In the evening glorious sunsets can be enjoyed here with maybe a glass of something in your hand!
The chalet is well equipped with electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, flat screen TV with Freeview/DVD/CD player, IPod Dock, hairdryer, iron, books, CDs, DVDs, and games.
NB. Wifi is only available in the clubhouse, it is not park wide.
Staple food items are also supplied, as well as necessities such as, toilet rolls, shampoo, body wash, hand wash, tea towels and cleaning items, to name just a few. A welcome pack will greet you on arrival which is always hugely welcomed after an often long journey!
Should you need them for those unpredictable, sometimes chilly summer nights, there are portable electric heaters for every room, hot water bottles and throws.. All the comforts of home!
PLEASE BE ADVISED:- Wifi can only be accessed in the clubhouse, it is NOT available in the chalet.
Nearby attractions include the picturesque village of Clovelly, 3 miles, the rugged and dramatic coastline of Hartland with great walks, just a little further and the Blue Flag surfing beach of Westward Ho!, 8miles. The Eden Project in Cornwall is only 1 1/2 hrs away and is a unique experience well worth a visit. Family attractions such as The Milky Way Adventure Park is a 4 min drive and The Big Sheep, (great entertainment for all the family), is 10mins.
* Due to the positioning of the Park on a hillside, it may be unsuitable for anyone with restricted mobility.

Pat the owner was incredibly helpful and had her phone on incase there were any problems and was contactable. The place was a lovely little getaway and reading one of the books in the morning looking at the view was amazing. I would recommend this as a lovely place to stay and the children loved it. My child left some toys and Pat the owner sent them in the post. Beautiful views and Amazing customer service!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The sea view from the chalet was lovely and the chalet itself was lovely as well, very clean and tidy. The weather wasn’t brilliant but that didn’t ruin the Easter weekend break at all. I would definitely recommend to others.

Amazing chalet, beautifully decorated, breathtaking view, we had a wonderful family time. The owner is very thoughtful and welcomed us with a cream tea and a bottle of wine, biscuits,milk and all the necessary things in the cupboards. Children were very happy and never bored(lots of games,books and dvds provided by the owner),plus there are lots of things to do in the area. Highly recommended place to stay!

“Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting!”
What a perfect place to stay in north Devon! This was our first holiday with our adventurous toddler but all of my worries disappeared upon arrival...and not just because I'd spotted the Pinot in the fridge (thanks Pat!). The chalet is clean, beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything we could possibly need, from books and games to washing up liquid and sandwich bags. I could go on but I won't, but basically it was better stocked than my house. It is obvious that the owner has gone to a lot of effort to ensure that Driftwood is 'a home from home' and it's exactly that, which made our holiday a whole lot more relaxing. Oh and the view is to die for :)

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Driftwood! It supplied everything we needed for our week's stay, including books, games and dvd's.The decor was beautiful and the location is perfect! The owner Pat has been great, I would definitely recommend Driftwood to friends and family. 10/10 :)
