“A comfortable cottage in a lovely location”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2016

The cottage was just right for us and our two teenage daughters and dog. It has everything you need and free Wifi for the girls!! A great location away from the crowds but close enough to the sea and activites not to make travelling a chore. We would highly recommend it.

“Perfect retreat”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2016

We had a lovely holiday with our two children aged 7 and 5. The cottage is in a peaceful location and only a short drive from beaches or tourist attractions. I would recommend staying here and we will definitely book again. Thanks Ian!

“Beautiful Cottage, Lovely owners, stunning village”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2016

I booked this cottage for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's 50th. We travelled with his two children and our large family dog. Right from booking the owners were helpful and communication was superb. On arrival we were very impressed with the cottage, well equipped for home comforts. Kitchen is very modern and well stocked should you want to cook at home. The living/dining room of good size with dual aspect windows making it light and airy with plenty of family space. The bathroom is very modern & a hairdryer, towels & mirrors supplied. The bedrooms have plenty of space and a wardrobe, a large walk in cupboard is in the double bedroom along with draws. The other bedroom has 2 single beds and chest of draws. The pictures do not do this cottage justice! The owners helped with getting the birthday cake to the local inn, a 13th century thatched coaching inn. The whole pub was in on the surprise and were amazing. The food was phenomenal, well worth the money although I suggest you book a table in advance as it gets very busy! The whole village is surrounded by fields so plenty of walking if you have a four legged family member, this was truly a home from home experience & we will certainly be booking again. Finally Buckland Brewer is a great village & only 6 miles from Westward Ho! with Bideford & Barnstaple being not to far so a great location for travelling around North Devon.
