Little Thatch is a 400 year old one bedroom thatched beamed cottage with an inglenook fireplace. Equipped to the highest standards with white bedlinen and towels.

In the middle of the peaceful conservation village of Lillingstone Lovell, with just thirty houses, near Buckingham on the edge of the Cotswolds.

A lovely area for walking or visiting many nearby National Trust properties including Stowe. Explore the Cotswolds, Oxford or go to London - which is under an hour by train.

The perfect place to step back in time and relax for that special holiday or romantic break with nothing to disturb you except the church bells. A warm welcome awaits whenever you come with a Welcome Basket and a bottle of wine!

“Cottage lived up to expectations”

The cottage was compact and well equipped. Owners supplied a "goody" bag on arrival which was much appreciated. Lovely cottage garden. Close to local NT properties and Buckingham that was an attractive market town. Bletchley Park was very well worth visiting. Cottage did not lack for anything. Some excellent local pubs for good evening meals.

Beautiful cottage and garden in a very tranquil location, owners are great, helpful and friendly. Car essential with plenty to see and visit within a short drive.

After having found Little Thatch last year and stayed there on my own, this year I visited it with my future husband who had never been to England before....he's absolutely over the moon about everything British now! Little Thatch, a lovely, chocolate box, romantic cottage with all modcoms but with in the first place everything you ever wanted in a typical English country cottage: exposed beams, walls with vanilla icing [so it seems], a beautiful garden, romantic bedroom, cosy sittingroom [mind your head] and a splendid view when you're having your tea sitting in front of Little Thatch! And all of this splendidly taken care of by a very nice and special hostess, Jane! Thanks ever so much and see you next year!

“Beautifully idyllic relaxation haven”

We stayed in little thatch after our wedding after marrying in the gorgeous village church not 100 yards away. The cottage has everything you could possibly need which all seems to fit in perfectly with the wonderful personality of the place. The garden is stunning which we even used for our wedding photographs. Jane and Ian are an absolute delight and so helpful with any query you may have. Their wealth of local knowledge really did aid us in enjoying the surrounding area to the maximum. I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be going back soon with a view to visiting during the winter time. My only disappointment was not sitting next to the open fire on a cold and dark winters eve.

How do damage deposits work?
