Dairy Cottage is Dumfries and Galloway's best kept secret, set in a quit and tranquil part of the region, with rolling hills and spectacular views over the Solway, Criffel mountain and the wooded glens on the farm - and yet - only 1.8 miles from the M74, the main North South motorway - but you would never know it.
Williamwood is a working farm where modern stock farming, (sheep and cattle) are reared and conservation go hand in hand. Over the last 2 years we have opened up the farm, making miles and miles of walks where our visitors can enjoy the abundant wildlife, cycle or ride one of our highland ponies. Should you have children we have a play park and mini farm, complete with many different animals who all love a bit of attention. We welcome the involvlement of our guests on the farm, so if you have never seen a lamb born, or for that matter been close to any animals, Williamwood is the place for you. During the long summer evenings we take our guests on tours around the farm in a specially designed open topped trailer, where we take you right in the fields through the very popular highland cattle.
Dairy Cottage sleeps 3 with provision for 4 .
Is a very comfortably furnished with bathroom, 1 double bedroom and a single room with a guest bed so is ideal for 2 small children or one adult. An log open fire with ample supplies of logs offers a cosy night in.

We booked the cottage just for a weekend to relax with quite short notice which wasn't a problem. The place itself is beautiful exactly what i was looking for- quiet surrounding with lovely views. There was no problem with locating the farm either. The owners were very polite and helpful providing everything we needed( free-range eggs left for us just delicious!) The cottage was very well equipped, clean and i didn't really expect it to be so big :) very good size rooms. We really did enjoy our stay and the low price for renting made it even better.
