Description

One of the very few self catering properties in Bruges that has been awarded a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence. This attractive fully renovated three bed house is located in the very heart of the historical and medieval town of Bruges. It is situated within easy walking distance of the central market square and the historical, gastronomic and cultural highlights of Bruges whilst still being in a quiet neighbourhood close to the windmill flanked canal. We provide free WiFi and optional secure garage parking is available if requiredHowever if you fancy a change of scenery there are many seaside resorts within a half hour drive. Alternatively using Bruges as a base you may want to strike out to Brussels, Ypres, Ghent, Holland or beyond.

We loved Bruges & our stay at The Red House. It's in a quiet residential location, the kitchen is well equipped, very clean & all communication with the owners was prompt & helpful.

This has been our third visit to the Red house and as usual we were not disappointed. The house is in such a perfect location-in a lovely quiet, peaceful road but close enough to walk to the town centre and all the action. It is always spotlessly clean and your every need is catered for-from the many dvds, magazines and books to keep you entertained- to the helpful guide books and maps at your disposal. The free wifi was an added bonus this time round and is so typical of the owner's attention to detail (like having storecupboard essentials available for your use such as coffee,tea,oil etc..) which truly makes this lovely house always feel like a home from home.

We stayed in The Red House in May 13, family of 5 (kids age 7-12). The house was lovely, well equipped with lots of info about Bruges and Belgium. We also used secure parking which is just round corner and was very handy. House is about 10-15 min walk from centre of Bruges. Would definitely use again if returning to Bruges.

Our first stay in Bruges and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The red house is in a great location 10 minutes walk from the market and on a small sideroad so there is not a lot of traffic passing. A couple of good bars nearby if you don't want to walk far for some of that wonderful Belgian beer. The house had everything you could need to cook your own meals and everything was spotlessly clean. Also I would point out that taking your own bedding does give you plenty of packing material for bringing back the odd sample bottle. We will be returning as soon as we can.

Could not have asked for anything more!! a fantastic location only a 5-10 min walk from the famous bell tower. The accomodation was fantastic although the steep stairs are a challenge after a few strong belgium beers.

My wife and I went to Bruges with our 10 yr old daughter and had a brilliant time. The Red House was perfect and very conveniently situated about 10 minutes walk or so from the Markt. The house had everything you could need and was spotlessly clean. We initially were worried as the price was on the cheap side of reasonable - we needn't have worried as the house is worth much more. There is a great little bar/restaurant next to the nearby windmills too if you don't fancy going to the city centre. We never visit the same place twice, as you only have so many holidays in you and it would be a shame not to explore more - however, we'll make an exception for the Red House and hope to return again soon. “The beautiful house”

We had a fantastic time in Brugge! We all enjoyed being able to just cycle into town, the house is perfectly located for strolls along the canal, cycle rides to Damme and access to restaurants, shopping and museums. Everything about the house was perfect for our needs. Equipment and furnishings to make it a very comfortable and convienent stay. Excellent location and extremely easy to book through Richard - who provided excellent information. Would definately reccommend for a stay in Brugge!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Red house with our 5 and 14 year as well as granny. Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The house itself was spotless and so well equipped and nicely decorated. The bedrooms were all well appointed with plenty of storage space and the double bedroom at the top of the house was superb - very romantic! There were loads of things available for our use like sugar, coffee and toilet paper as well as dvds, books and bicycles that just made life that little bit easier. The location was perfect, in a really quiet cobbled street but just a few minutes comfortable walk into town. An added bonus was the nearby park for my five year old to run around in after eating all that chocolate! Richard, the owner was friendly and helpful every step of the way and gave us loads of information for our stay. I can't recommend this house enough - we will definitely be back!

The house is comfortable and well equipped, There are loads of DVD’s to meet everyone’s taste, tons of games and books catering for all ages (my 5, 12 and 18 year olds were very happy with the entertainment provided) The local information provided before arrival is excellent and you'll know exactly what to expect and where to go, where to shop etc. The house is on a wonderful cobbled street and you really feel like you are living in history. Everything is a short and interesting walk away, we spent days wondering around looking and marvelling. The garage is very close to the house and extremely handy.
