Description from owner

Description

A delightful character property consisting of a living room with fitted kitchen on the ground floor and upstairs a good-sized double bedroom and shower room.
Why choose Brossac? Why indeed? Why choose a village, instead of staying in remote countryside? Well, for a start; imagine popping out for fresh croissants while the kettle is boiling, or even stepping out for that forgotten bottle of wine! And no need to worry about drinking a few glasses of wine with your restaurant meal! Join us and experience real life in France. We very much look forward to welcoming you to share in our village life.
Sorry - the Tower is not suitable for children under 8, due to an unfenced goldfish pond in the grounds. Babies are fine and we can supply a travel cot, bath and high chair.

“Peace &tranquility!”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2015

My partner and I stayed at the Tower house just a few weeks ago. We were welcomed by Susan & Dennis, who were very informative throughout our stay & the wonderful shadow...who I'm sure would have talked to us also, if he was able!!  This very quirky, authenticTower House...which we loved, was immaculately clean, very organised and had everything we needed. Brossac is a quiet village with local butchers and bakers on your doorstep. If all you want from your holiday is to relax in peace quiet and read...then this is a good location, also an excellent base for exploring South West France.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind remarks. We're pleased that you enjoyed a restful holiday in our area of rural France.

“Brilliant place from which to explore the region”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2015

A warm welcome from Susan and Dennis to a really quirky little place located bang in the centre of Brossac. There was everything you could need in the Tower, which was very clean and well organised. We thoroughly enjoyed the complementary cheese, wine and biscuits after a long drive from Dunkerque. Susan and Dennis were very helpful in giving local information and answering any questions we might have. There is no wifi connection, but they lent us a dongle when we needed it. The pool was a bonus and there was a lovely garden offering both sun and shade to relax in too. The local area is stunning - we took bikes and explored that way (lots of hills though!). The lake is a 15 minute walk down the hill and there were a few local community events going on while we were there. There is also a restaurant down there with lovely views. Good Spar for daily shopping, and a butcher and baker too.

Owner's reply: We're very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and found the area as delightful as we do!

“Relaxing and peaceful - a hidden gem!”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2013

My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing place to holiday somewhere in Southern France where we could chill out and unwind. We found The Tower House and it was perfect. The accommodation was just right for the two of us. It was very clean, well equipped and private with a rustic charm. We found Brossac to be a quiet village with all the necessary amenities including a lovely boulangerie for fresh bread daily and a great restaurant which also does gorgeous take away pizzas! Susan and Dennis were incredibly welcoming and really helped us to make the most of our time in the Charente region. We would definitely recommend The Tower House to anyone looking for a quiet break and a base for exploring the surrounding areas.

Owner's reply: We're pleased you had a relaxing time and thank you for your positive remarks.
