“Amazing 4 nights in steves place”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2017

Me and two of my friends have been here before. Perfect location for mountain biking and adventure sports. The log cabin has everything you need. We cooked 2 nights and the 2 nights had food in the rhiw goch inn litteraly a 4 min walk up the road. We will be back again next year for sure.

Owner's reply: Thanks Ian , pleasure having the three of you back and thank you for your cleanliness in leaving . Much appreciated and thanks for the review , Top lads, Steve

“Perfect for a biking weekend”

Reviewed 1 May 2017

Very cosy and warm, we arrived to the lodge with lights on, candle's burning and a nice bottle of red wine.. perfect after a 6hr drive! A really thoughtful touch to add wine, bread, milk ext.. Was perfect for our weekend of MTB at the bike park 5mins down the lane. It's private, has everything you need and more. Its very quirky, rustic and it's really gets you back to your roots, as there is no signal..which is bliss :) Only comment i would make is the mattress in the double room is really uncomfortable.. It's rutted and very hard, which was a shame as both days we woke with bad backs, it's seen better days. While on the surface the place is clean and tidy, in the kitchen the cups and plates were not all clean.. I would double check all crockery before the next guest come in each time.

Owner's reply: Hi Kate . Thanks for the review. All comments taken on board . We have struggled with cleaners of late and the mattress is a surprise but maybe time for a new one . Please come back and try out the new mattress and new cleaner :) and I will make every effort to grab that extra half score from you but your honesty only makes us try harder so thank you , Kind regards , Steve

“Value for money”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2016

A basic cabin which acted as a great base for exploring the local area. Some wine, ham and bread etc left for us which was a lovely touch. Cabin itself had a bit of wear and tear but was clean and did the job nicely for a few days.

Owner's reply: Thank you Jemma for your review . We are indeed a approaching its 50th birthday soon and whilst we strive to maintain its cleanliness we also try to maintain the original character and charm from years gone by where as other cabins have simply updated losing that. . It is however as u rightly say good value and we are far from the dearest in the village . Thanks and hope we see you again . Steve and Ben

“Fantastic Short Break”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2016

An absolute bargain. Surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, so much to see and do. The cabin itself is well equipped (don't forget to bring your own bedding/sleeping bags though!) Bread, milk, teabags etc all provided, and a bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Would go again.

Owner's reply: Kind words and thank you . We hope to see you again , Steve and Ben
