“Fantastic time at the cabin will definitely be recommending and revisiting”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2015

The cabin is located in beautiful surroundings with fantastic views. The cabin has everything you need and is warm and cosy. Communication with the owners was excellent, they even managed to get candles to us during an unexpected blackout! I would recommend taking your own pillows and bedding as suggested. There are loads of great walks locally and the site is set back and quiet. For the price this cabin really is a bargain, would definitely re visit

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are please the hick up with the power cut did not spoil things for you. We do try to cover every eventuality before your arrival, but somethings cannot be predicted and in those circumstances our caretakers are always on hand to help in anyway they can. We do recommend that guests take their own quilt covers and pillowcase/bedding in both the write up on Holiday lettings and in the courtesy email which we send out to guests once the balance has been paid, although we do now offer a bed linen/ towels service which guests can now order directly with us for an additional fee. Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best wishes, Chris & Kath.

“we didnt want to leave !”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2014

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Chris and Kathy's cabin. The cabin was cosy and clean and had everthing we needed. To put it in 1 sentence, it ticked all the boxes. The site is peaceful and well maintained. The childrens play area is a godsend (a quiet hour for the adults). The site is perfectly located. There are beautiful views everywhere you look. 20 minutes drive in any direction and there is something for everyones tastes. We are in no doubt that we will be booking again and would recommend this cabin and site to all of our friends and family. We had a wonderfull holiday and didnt want to leave. All we can say is a massive thank you.

Owner's reply: Thank you Clare for your positive comments . We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay in our cabin so much. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

“Great relaxing week”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2014

We had a great stay in this log cabin during the first half of May this year, our then six month old son's first holiday. We tended to drive each day to a different town either on the coast or in the mountains - stunning part of the world. Harlech, Crieccieth, Dolgellau, Bala, Aberdovey - all great for a coffee and a slice of cake, a walk round and some lunch. We had some great lunches overlooking the sea. The holiday village (and the area in general) was very quiet through the early season week we were there, but the manned reception and shop were open throughout. The little one enjoyed the children's play area. Next time I'm getting a round of golf in as we passed some lovely looking links courses! Cabin was great… we enjoyed having a drink on the balcony as the sun set… then retiring inside and watching the Indian Premier League cricket on the telly! We cooked every night - cupboards contained everything we needed and there are good supermarkets at Porthmadog. Great week, thanks.

Owner's reply: Thank you for you great review. We are so pleased you had such a great time and managed to get out and about to so many places. We would be delighted to welcome you back anytime. Thanks again. Chris & Kath.

“Lovely accommodation with stunning views”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2014

I recently took my wife here for her birthday and brought along our 7 month old puppy. We had a very relaxing stay and the lodge was very cosy and my wife loved it. The views from the veranda where stunning and the place was very peaceful. We managed to fit in a trip to Barmouth and Betws-y-Coed which were both not too far away and our puppy had the time of his life. I immediately recommended this to my neighbour and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from it all for a few days and enjoy some amazing scenery and a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The owners were very helpful prior to our stay and we will definitely be going back soon.

Owner's reply: Thank you for such a great review. It is good to receive such positive feed back, and to hear that you had such a great time. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Take care. Best wishes. Chris & Kath.

“Relaxing”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

My wife and i oh and our little dog maisie wanted a break to relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and this break was perfect, the log cabin was warm and cosy it was equiped with mostly everything you want, Barmouth is only 30 mins drive away, and there are lots of other attractions nearby but we just wanted to chill out for a few days, so it ticked all the boxes that we wanted and will definately book again.

Owner's reply: We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at our cabin and wish to return. It is the perfect place to chill out. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

“a home from home”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2014

spent the new year here with my partner and a baby and toddler, the cabin was cosy and completely walm during a very cold spell, there was a play area for children and an on site shop, the local resteraunt /bar is a 10 min walk away and was very relaxing, situated a short drive from Portmadog and Barmouth for the coast and beaches and a short drive to Snowdon/freindly staff but not intrusive, would whole heartedly recommend.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and New Year in our cabin. It is our holiday home too, so we do try to make it as comfortable and as welcoming as we can. Hope to see you again, soon. Very Best Wishes Chris & Kath.
