During these uncertain times I offer complete flexibility should you need to cancel due to any reason associated with Covid 19. You will be fully refunded.

The house will have a deep clean after each stay using antiviral cleaners. Laundry is washed and sanitised off site.

Hazel House is in the perfect spot for a traditional New Forest holiday. Ponies and donkeys wander by the front gate to drink at the nearby water splash, yet the village centre is only a stroll away with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Walk the other way and miles of open forest are yours to explore by foot, on horseback or by bike.

This attached Brockenhurst village cottage is prettily decorated in a relaxed and charming style of old and new textiles and furniture in soft muted colours. The sunny colourful garden is child-friendly with a big terrace for outside dining and sun bathing.

With four bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms Hazel House sleeps up to eight, plus a travel cot

Very quiet and relaxing location. Please respect the neighbours peace and quiet. No events. Families with children very welcome.

Ponies and other animals wander freely in Brockenhurst, please shut all the gates to the road, once ponies are in it’s difficult to get them out and they can damage parked cars if panicked.

We were a family of 7 including two small children. While spacious downastairs, with its big conservatory and garden, upstairs was a little tight but perfectly adequate. Main bedroom fine. More storage for clothes in the other bedrooms would have been useful. Lots of room in the front garden to park 3 cars. A few minutes walk to the village centre. Ponies, donkeys and even cattle come wandering along the road/pavement which was lovely.

Perfectly situated in the centre of Brockenhurst, with a large drive and free roadside parking too. Ponies, donkeys and cows regularly wonder past the front gate. The common and the high street are minutes away by foot. There are so many amazing off road cycle tracks to explore with many streams for bathing and fishing and lots of opportunities to spot deer too! There are so many amazing places to have a cream tea or forest ice cream. We visited Lyndhurst, Burley, Mudeford Quay, Milford on Sea - Hurst Castle is a must!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lesley (the owner) a message.

If Lesley (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
