Description

Location, Location Location! Seabird cottage is the perfect place to base your holiday to enjoy the delights of South Devon, with seaside walks, sailing, fishing and boat trips, or travel by steam train along the beautiful South Devon coast. Apart from deepest winter the very reasonably priced ferry service goes to the heart of Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Dartmouth so no traffic or car parking hassle even in the height of summer.

Our cottage, an authentic fisherman's cottage, has been modernised to ensure comfort and convenience whilst retaining many traditional features including exposed beams believed to be reclaimed ships timbers and masts.

Enter from the street into a cosy sitting room, with multi fuel wood burner (in addition to full central heating).We have WIFI and Freeview TV but also traditional box games and even a puzzle of the harbour!

Then through to the fully fitted kitchen made bright and airy fully fitted kitchen make bright and airy by roof windows above.

For those who like to cook, you will have most of what you need. There are delis Butcher and grocers and well stocked supermarkets just across the road. For those who don't. there are great restaurants and pubs just as close.

The bathroom, also on this level, consists of large shower, wash hand basin and toilet.

Access to the furnished raised terrace garden outside, is through the rear 'stable door' and up some steps. In summer, the sun is there most of the day so it is ideal to start with a coffee or to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring.

There are two good sized bedrooms accessed by the winding traditional 'Brixham' staircase, a double bed to the front and two single in the rear bedroom (both with hairdryers) overlooking the terrace garden.

All bedding and towels are included in the quoted price

Price quoted is to rent the cottage with a party of up to 4 persons.

NB Bank Holidays are charged at the appropriate weekend rates

Fuel for the wood burner is to be purchased by the guest

CHILDREN

Children are accepted but due to the 'Brixham Stairs' and the steps to the garden it is suitable for older children only.

Local street parking is available within 3-5mins walk. The rules about parking are different in high and low season so it is advisable to check the Torbay Council website or ask us close to your stay.

“Pretty cottage in an ideal Location”

Cosy little fisherman’s cottage in an ideal location just a short stroll from the harbour where there are numerous restaurants and cafes. Lovely outside space behind the cottage with table and chairs. The cottage has everything you will need for your stay and was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. Angela was really helpful giving us plenty of information about Brixham. We were able to park for free a few mins walk from the cottage by battery park. We really enjoyed our short break and will definitely use the cottage again. P.S. Be sure to try the Manor Pub which is a few doors down from the cottage best pub in Brixham.

“A cute cottage that ticks all the boxes”

Stayed here for a short stay with my family. The accommodation was cleaned to a very high standard. The house was furnished comfortably from the sofas to the beds. The kitchen and bathroom appeared new, fresh and clean, providing everything we needed for our short stay. There is even a log burner in the lounge in addition to central heating. The stairs are steep as was expected in properties of this age but we were well informed prior to visit and physically well abled! The harbour was a minute walk away with everything on the doorstep. I highly recommend this accommodation! We will definitely be back!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Angela (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
