Ground Floor

Situated on the ground floor is the living room, complete with comfortable seating for 15 people. The fact that the chateau deliberately eschews a formal dining room reinforces its laid back philosophy, ensuring mealtimes don't become a stuffy formality. The equipped Brick kitchen seats up to 10, and you'll also find a WC on this floor. At the back, there's a TV room situated at complete with satellite channels.

First Floor

The first floor is accessed by the original staircase and is where you'll find the chateau's 6 bedrooms (two of which are en suite) plus a further shared bathroom with shower, sink and WC.

The master suite on this floor overlooks the grounds and has contains a double bed and en-suite bathroom containing a large and luxurious bath. Adjoining this is a twin room, making this part of the chateau perfect for a family who want to stay close together! A further double bedroom suite bathroom overlooking the swimming pool and another twin room complete the sleeping accommodation on this floor.

Top Floor

Though not officially part of the rental, the top floor acts as a great space for kids to play, surrounded by the owner's beautiful artwork. Just make sure the kids don't hog it - it's a charming and relaxing space for guests of any age to hang out!

Park

Guests are free to roam around the 52 acre park with centennial trees that is shared with the owner's brother and sisters. The glorious park is ideal for children to play in, with lovely walks for adults and an exciting playground for fishermen, thanks to the huge pond and 1 km of private riverside!

Guests at the chateau have their own private swimming pool. There is outdoor dining space for 18, together with a barbecue and sun loungers by the pool, providing everything required for the ambiance of the outdoors.

The Berry region

The gorgeous Loire Valley span over 280 km and is located in the central point of the Lorie River. It boasts an abundance of vineyards, fruit orchards and fields that boarder the river.
It is most renounced for its historical town and exceptional architecture which is an established UNESO world heritage site.

The valley comprises of the historic towns of Amboise, Angers, Blois, Chinon, Nantes, Orleans, Saumur and Tour.

Whilst the Loire is famous for its river, wines and 1001 châteaux, for those who wish to dip a toe in the Atlantic it is about an hour and a half to Pornic, the nearest seaside resort, a trip to which makes a fun day out and provides an opportunity to sample wonderful fresh French seafood – speciality moules et frites.

Cyclists can take advantage of the ‘Loire á vélo’ – currently 400km of maintained trails and cycle routes along the Loire River. The plan is to extend the route to cover 800 km. There are many bike rental places along the route for those who haven’t brought their own bicycles with them. The trails are easy to follow, and it is a carefree way to pass the day through the unspoilt rural towns and villages of the Loire Valley.

Clisson is a medieval town which has a popular food market on Fridays and is a picturesque place to wander around and has a ruined château open to the public.

Shoppers will be thrilled to discover La Séguiniere, an enormous factory outlet village, home to 80 major brands from fashion and sports to kitchenware as well as a chocolate shop which offers free samples.

Brinon-sur-Sauldre

Brinon Sur Sauldre is located between Chambord (67km) and Sancerre (60km). The vineyards of Menetou-Salon, Pouilly are located around Sancerre at 35 minutes from the house.

The Japanese Gardens (Parc Oriental) at Maulévrier are a wonderful place to visit, especially for young families as children under 12 go free. Originally built in 1899 but then left to decay, a restoration programme started in the1980s has resulted in stunning garden filled with Japanese architecture, bridges, water features and traditional Japanese trees. The gardens are the largest of their kind in Europe.
