It is in this magical setting that you will find Brill Cottage, nestling on the edge of Brill Hill, a beautiful holiday cottage which is just a few hundred yards away from the renowned Brill Windmill, the famous landmark set high overlooking Buckinghamshire and its neighbouring Shires and steeped in English History.

Brill Cottage is a comfortable and luxurious holiday retreat, with breath taking panoramic views from every room. Attached but entirely separate from the main house, Brill Cottage is decorated to a high standard with great attention to detail.

Soft furnishings in natural colours throughout the open-plan sitting room/ dining area effortlessly combine quality and comfort, and the modern and stylish fully fitted kitchen has everything you need - just inviting you to cook!

On the next floor the spacious bedroom holds a King Size double bed and ample wardrobe space and has the advantage of a bright and airy en-suite bathroom complete with bath and shower - attention to detail is paramount in Brill Cottage.

A suntrap ‘all-weather’ terrace with table and chairs built on the side of the house overlooks the peaceful landscape with Red Kites soaring and gliding above as you enjoy the tranquillity and stunning sunsets.

Adjacent to Brill Windmill is the popular village pub ’The Pheasant ‘ which offers delicious home cooked food and is a warm and cosy retreat to drop into on a frosty morning after a walk around the peaks and hummocks that surround the Windmill.

It’s easy to see, when sitting on the terrace at the Pheasant, just what made Tolkien dream up such a magical and mysterious vision. The view over The Common, past one of the oldest post windmills in the country, is truly breathtaking. Tolkien would travel out from the university in Oxford, and consider the view while thinking up his stories, and describing the world of Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey.

Brill Village is a typical English Village with two excellent pubs, shops for your basics, an award-winning butcher and a Post Office. There is a Railway Station just 15 minutes away in Haddenham and the towns of Aylesbury or Bicester are just a short drive away.

Numerous places of interest are easily within reach, The Gleaming Spires of Oxford (Morse and Lewis territory - Brill itself and many other local villages have been the backdrop for many episodes of Midsomer Murders.) Bicester Village for shopping, magnificent National Trust houses such as Stowe, Waddesdon Manor and Claydon House along with Warwick Castle and The Cotswolds -Bletchley Park, home of Alan Turing and the Code Breakers, is also less than an hour’s drive away.
