Are you planning a seaside getaway and looking for an elegant, comfortable house with genuine charm and character?

Located in a narrow, picturesque street, in the heart of Brighton and just a few steps from the beach and pier, there could not be a more ideal holiday destination.

Furthermore, this house is Grade II listed and was actually built to provide the very first lodgings for Brighton's fashionable seaside visitors, who arrived from London by coach and horses, in the late 18th Century.

This is a large house providing ample space for one or two families. Unfortunately at present we are unable to take bookings that are more than two households. Please let us know if you're interested in a group booking so that we may contact you when the rules change.

The ground floor and basement offer flexible living and dining areas. The top three floors contain 5 elegant bedrooms and there are 3 bath/shower rooms. There is a large vintage kitchen, a delightful courtyard garden and even a fabulous copper slipper-bath.

From the front bedroom windows, there are enticing view of Brighton Pier and the sea just at the end of the street.

GROUND FLOOR AND GARDEN

The living and dining rooms are on the ground floor. The dining room is connected with the lounge to one side via a period opening and to the courtyard garden, via French doors, to the other side.

LOWER GROUND FLOOR

A stone staircase leads down to the brick-floored working area of the house and the charming vintage kitchen which is ideal for socialising while preparing food and drinks. High sash windows let in oblique light from the street.

There is a w/c and shower room next door.

A separate utility room houses a dishwasher and washing/drying machine and there are steps leading up to the garden.

FIRST FLOOR

To the front of the house is a large, elegant bedroom. The huge floor-to-ceiling curved bay window fills the room with light and offers enticing views of the sea and the Pier.

To the rear is a charming bedroom with high ceiling, chandelier and views over the courtyard.

SECOND FLOOR

To the front of the house is another large bedroom with curved bay window giving further views of the sea and Pier.

The elegant bathroom on this floor contains a stunning copper slipper bath.

THIRD FLOOR

The original, light and airy top floor has a pretty bedroom and a luxurious shower room, with a large walk in rain shower.

PARKING

There are metered parking bays within a 10 minute walk where cars can be parked for around £5.50 per day.

IMPORTANT

This is holiday home and is available for accommodation and quiet social gatherings/dinners.

The rear garden must not be used after 9.00pm.

This house is available for accommodation and social gatherings, but not as a party venue.
