Bohemian Kemptown is very close to the beach but is also one of the main vintage shopping areas of Brighton and has been since the late 18th century, which is reflected in the many independent businesses still thriving along this bustling thoroughfare. From long established names to recent gems you’ll find an amazing array of fabulous foods, independent wine shops, second hand stores and chic design shops. You'll also find a number of quirky antique shops lining the streets.
Kemptown is also home to the city’s thriving gay quarter so expect to find some more gay and lesbian orientated shops dotted inbetween the coffee houses, deli bars and specialist shops.
The seafront here is being renovated with new beach board walks and outdoor activity centres and Yellowave Volley ball courts. The Beach Box Sauna is a must visit together with Sea Lanes outdoor swimming centre and Soho House.are all located a short walk away. The historical Volks railway is accessible along the seafront too.
