“Great location, nicely designed flat on ground floor overlooking seafront”
We stayed here for a 3 night break with our teenage children. It was a very nicely designed flat, and we thought reasonable value for money. We had plenty of hot water, no problem with being cold or hot, as per previous reviews. The entrance is up a very very narrow one way lane, and we only just managed to get our BMW 1 series up the lane to unload suitcases. Recommend you leave the car on the main road on the seafront with hazards going ! On the Saturday when we arrived we had little trouble finding a parking space (we bought a visitor's permit), but on the Monday when we went out for the day, finding a space at 6:30pm was trickier. Don't always assume there will be easy to find space for the zone for your permit. The location was good and quiet , walking east towards the hospital into a trendy'ish district with good restaurant, deli, bookshop. On the doorstep there were vintage shops, a real ale pub, cafe and antique shops. And within a 10 minute walk a variety of independent shops and great restaurants. An easy coastal walk right on the doorstep as well. a bottle of wine and some quality street/roses on arrival - a nice touch, but see comments about milk! What could have been better: a pint of milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival would have been appreciated tourist info in the apartment (maps, leaflets etc) more than 2 dishwasher tablets - just felt a little mean, and a small box could have been left under the sink a dishcloth (what we were given was lighter than a j-cloth - pretty useless) remove the (dog chewed) shower Squeegee from the en-suite. toilet roll to last 4 people 3 days would have been appreciated more crockery, as although enough for 6 people, you would have to put the dishwasher on even if not full, to have enough crockery for the next meal water in Brighton had a "taste ". we did find a water jug with filter in the cupboard, but of course had no idea if the filter needed changing or not there was a coffee maker in the cupboard, with a couple of pods left with it, but it would have been nice to have some instructions and a few more pods which could be identifiable re taste as we had no idea what sort of coffee they would make - wasn't even sure if they were coffee pods ! replace the tea towels with the holes in them ! As you first enter the flat, carrying a large suitcase you are greeted with a rather large warning message asking for shoes to be taken off. We can understand why as the carpets are so light, but perhaps better to just put a message with the keys ? Then as you enter the front room, more warning messages about keeping the shutters closed in the day to protect the furniture from the sun - it distracts from what should be a warm welcome. Perhaps find a different way to get these messages across ? For short holiday lets, we do think the market has changed, and expectations are higher re provision of toilet roll, milk, attention to detail etc. Hence the 4 stars.

Consumable items such as milk, etc are not usually provided in our self catering properties for health and hygiene reasons, however we have of course forwarded all suggestions to the property managers. We agree parking on the seafront can be a nightmare, always better to leave your car at home if possible, otherwise as you said it is a case of looking for an available space. Great to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay by the sea and hope to see you again.
Stayed here for the Brighton Marathon and the apartment was amazing, beautiful, spotless and perfectly located. Would absolute recommend!

This is a really lovely apartment in the perfect location. Very tastefully decorated/furnished. Extremely comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. The only problem is that the heating is controlled externally and that meant that we had to make a few calls and send emails to the owner/agent before the temperature suited us. We found not being able to control the heating ourselves very frustrating. If it wasn't for that it would be impossible to fault this apartment. Would recommend it without reservation (especially in the summer!).

“You can't go wrong at Brighton Beach Apartment”
We stayed at Brighton Beach Apartment for one week at the beginning of August and would recommend it unreservedly. The location is second to none. Brighton Pier is a 5-10 minute walk away, Kemptown which is full of lively bars and restaurants is a 2 minute walk away and if you walk through Kemptown heading in the direction of the city centre, the Laines and the Pavilion are no more than 15-20 minutes away. Incidentally, If visiting the Laines visit Choccywoccydoodah but be prepared to wait for a table in their café. The apartment itself has clearly been recently refurbished and the attention to detail is incredible. HD Sky TV, internet ready smart TV,fast wifi, an incredibly comfortable double bedroom and a monsoon shower. I could go on... Helpfully, the owner has provided a very comprehensive and useful folder which will answer any questions on arrival. The only bug bear, and to be fair, it is not the fault of the apartment. Parking! Either bring lots of pound coins to feed the meters. You need to pay to park on the street between 9am and 8pm and the cost is approx. £15 for the day. Alternatively, follow the link to the parking website from crown gardens own site. We booked parking for the week in someone's driveway and forgot about the car, no need to feed the meter. Best of all, leave the car behind. Public transport links are excellent and all you need in Brighton is the number 7 bus which will take you from one end of the city to the other and stops at both the main railway station and the marina. Finally, we arrived the day before the Brighton Pride weekend. On behalf of the family, all we can say is THANKYOU to the Pride organisers and participants for putting on such a fantastic, fun, extrovert and exuberant event. Our small town parade seems sorry by comparison.
