Location description from owner

The Brighton and Hove region

Brighton and Hove: England’s loveliest and liveliest city by the sea. Brighton and Hove is fun, cosmopolitan and uniquely eccentric all year round. Regency architecture, pleasure pier, specialist shops, pavement cafés, lively arts scene and vibrant nightlife, everything is within walking distance, so take time to explore and enjoy. And with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs and traditional English countryside, Brighton and Hove is a great base for exploring the region. Brighton and Hove is the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain. However brazen that may sound, it is no exaggeration. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish nightlife and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel.

For centuries it has been regarded as a ‘pleasure dome’, and that’s not about to change. If you love life, welcome to Brighton and Hove. Info provided by tourist board.

“Great house, helpful host perfect for hen”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2017

We were a group of 20 on a hen do and this house was perfect for us. The owner was really helpful in the run up and the layout of the house is great for a large group with a big basement dining area and communal kitchen/lounge. We were a group of 20 and thee were enough full beds but I think if you were more you may have some people sharing doubles or using fold out beds on the floor. The decor is eccentric but fun and the house has all the amenities a large group would need, plenty of glasses/cutlery, kettle, toaster multiple bathrooms and an outside terrace. I'd highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Hi Zoe Thanks for your amazing 5 star review and I am thrilled you loved the house. Its really appreciated Giles

“Perfect house for a group of friends or familes”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2016

really good house for a fun weekend in Brighton. the location is really great, close to all the local amenities and the seafront. The house is a little dark, and could do with a bit of a facelift, but with the number of large groups that stay there for party weekends I can see why they haven't updated it. It could do with a good clean, sofas etc. a bit grubby. The basement dining room was amazing - I booked a private chef from the Brighton Cookery school who came and cooked us all a three course dinner. there is a sound system there too which was good. The lounge area off the kitchen has a courtyard too which is great to let some air in. as it was a nice evening we all sat out here and had a naked butler set up a bar out there making us all cocktails! I would recommend. But it was a perfect house for a group of 22 ladies to celebrate my best friends hen do.

Owner's reply: Sounds like you had a lovely time with some fun activities! I have now installed additional uplighters to illuminate the rooms better and have got my friendly decorator to tart up some of the areas with scuff marks etc. Thank you for posting such a lovely review Giles
