Having been recently acquired by us as our family holiday home The Corner House is a holiday cottage available to rent from Autumn 2016 for short breaks and longer holidays. It is located close to the village of Boynton, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, surrounded by farmland, yet only 2 minutes drive to the outskirts of the town of Bridlington on the East Yorkshire Coast. Bridlington seafront with its beaches, amenities and attractions is approximately 10 to 15 minutes drive.

Easton Meadows comprises of 15 holiday homes positioned around a central courtyard. It is a modern development formed around buildings originally comprising part of Easton Farm. The development has been sympathetically designed to combine the old and the new. Externally its walls are of white rendering incorporating brickwork in the traditional local style, which results in an attractive development

The Corner House provides holiday accommodation for up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, whilst on the first floor there are 2 bedrooms each with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a twin bunk bed suitable for children and younger teenagers. It is therefore able to accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. There is a cloakroom with WC and wash basin on the ground floor and a fully tiled family bathroom on the first floor which includes a shower bath with power shower over.

The ground floor benefits from French doors to the rear opening onto a stone flagged patio and grassed area set in a corner position within the development. There is a picnic table for outdoor dining and a garden bench to sit and soak up the sun which falls on the area in late afternoon and into the evening in the summer months; perfect for relaxation at the end of the day. The main double bedroom, which is rearwards facing, features French doors and a Juliet balcony offering countryside views.

We have furnished the property to a good standard, with everything purchased new so as to provide comfortable accommodation for our own use. The kitchen, which is fully fitted, benefits from built in appliances including gas hob, oven, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge and freezer, plus a microwave, crockery and kitchen utensils.

There is a dedicated car parking space in the central courtyard. Additional parking (no charge) by arrangement at peak times.

The house is well located for either a traditional seaside holiday in Bridlington, or for exploring the East Yorkshire Coast including Hornsea, Sewerby, Flamborough and Scarborough; or indeed slightly further afield to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. It is also perfectly located for exploring the countryside and villages of the Yorkshire Wolds and its attractions including the town of Driffield or the historic houses of Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall and Sledmere House. The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route is easily accessible.

The Corner House which has the benefit of central heating and double glazing is available and equipped to rent all year round. We have two changeover days, Fridays and Mondays and are able to offer 3 night weekend breaks, 4 night midweek breaks, or stays of 7 nights or longer. The house is professionally managed by Yorkshire Coast Property Management. It will be fully cleaned prior to commencement of your stay with bed linen and towels provided.

The Yorkshire region

We are superbly located for access to the Yorkshire Coast and Wolds. The Coast offers stunning cliff top scenery, sandy beaches, fishing harbours and traditional holiday resorts; whilst the Wolds feature rolling landscapes and quaint historic villages.

Filey, Hornsea and Scarborough are all within a short drive. Inland is the market town of Driffield. The city of York is about an hours drive and the town of Malton circa 45 minutes.

Whilst the summer is seen as the traditional time to visit, the area offers plenty for an off season break, with many attractions opening through the winter, particularly at weekends. Indeed a walk on the beach or the clifftops on a clear winters day takes some beating to recharge the batteries.

Bridlington

Bridlington is a traditional East Coast holiday resort with attractions for all including boat trips (in season), a modern leisure centre and The Spa (theatre and music venue). It has wide sandy beaches and a working fishing harbour.

To the north of the town there is a lovely cliff top walk to Sewerby whilst Sewerby Hall is an historic house with children's zoo and regular events.

Flambourgh Head has a lighthouse (open to public), café and stunning cliffs. Bempton Cliffs (RSPB) is home in summer to nesting puffins and other seabirds.

Historic Burton Agnes Hall is a short drive. There are numerous golf courses in the area including 3 in Bridlington. Skydive GB is over the hill from the house.

Supermarkets are a 5 minute drive.

Getting around

Easton Meadows is situated on the B1253 to the west of Bridlington. A 2 minute drive takes you to the A165 which provides excellent road communication to the coast, either north or south of Bridlington without the need to head in to the town itself. Alternatively a 10 minute drive takes you to Bridlington seafront.

Interaction with guest

The keys will be available at the property on arrival. There is a managing agent based locally to deal with any issues arising during your holiday. We can be contacted directly to answer any questions before your arrival or to deal with any issues during your stay if these cannot be resolved by our managing agent.

We have one dedicated car space with the house, other onsite spaces can be made available by arrangement. Please inform us at the time of booking should you be arriving in more than 1 car.

The house is equipped with a stairgate at the top of the stairs. A cot is not available.

Holiday changeover dates are either Friday or Monday and are priced on this basis. Access to the property is available anytime after 4.00 pm on the day your holiday is booked from.
