Very Good

“Very clean and perfectly adequate”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2015

This apartment had everything we needed. The toilet and shower had all the necessary handrails for me to use them comfortably. Everything was very clean, and Jayne who welcomed us was very friendly. It would not have suited the Hotel Inspector, but who cares? Very central and handy for a couple of good breakfast places we found. I was expecting the street to be noisy as it is so near the town, but it isn't. A short walk away in the opposite direction to the sea is a large Tesco. Very handy!

“Excellent will stay again”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2015

This was our second time we sayed in this apartment and realy enjoyed again we will be back. My partners father uses a wheelchair and the flat is excellent and close to the town very handy. Kitchen well equipped. The only fault is the sofa bed isn't very comfortable. The outside of the flat has just been painted and has definitely improved the image. Jayne is very friendly and does an excellent job. We will be back soon I hope. Tim

Owner's reply: Thank you for the positive comments about this apartment and also about the upgrade we have done to the outside of the property. In relation to the sofa bed, as soon as I was made aware of this, we went out and bought a mattress topper for the sofa bed so hopefully this has improved matters. We look forward to a third visit from these customers and welcome new customers to my apartments.

app clean disabled facilites good ladyveryn accomadating when realised I had booked a days holiday said we could book in early and said unfortunately she had a booking on the day we were due to leave as we could have had a late check out the agent was also very helpful and nothing was to much trouble

“Value for money and just a five minute walk to the harbour.”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2014

Didn't know what to expect when we arrived but pleasantly surprised. The house is old and did show in places but never the less it was ideal for us as we had our mom with us who suffers from dementia and also not very mobile. We rented apartment 1 on the ground floor which also has the only access to a patio area and parking for a small car(accessed from the rear). The best point for us was the fact that we could park the car up for the week and just wheel mom into the town every day in her wheelchair instead of struggling to get her in and out of the car every day. The downside was the step down into the kitchen but with the portable ramp we managed to get mom up and down to the kitchen and bathroom without too much trouble. Also the apartments above were quite noisy at times as there were two families with young children staying so if this bothers you I would recommend that you make sure there are no young families stopping when you want to stay. Overall we had a great stay here and both the owner and her agent were very helpful and friendly.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the positive response and the 4 stars and I'm glad that an an enjoyable stay was experienced. I have the following comments to some of the detailed points raised: The apartment was graded Mobility Level 2 status for wheelchair users by Visit England and an accessibility statement is available on my website. As a result, I do have several accompanied wheelchair users staying in this accommodation throughout the year. I appreciate that the single step is not ideal but,as was mentioned, the ramp provided does enable wheelchair users to access the kitchen, shower room and private patio garden/ parking space. Bridlington is a particular favourite of families in the school summer holidays, so children staying in the property in high summer season is an inevitability in my property. Either side of the school summer holidays is also particularly busy for customers wanting a quieter holidays and for this reason early booking is recommended for holidays between May and the end of October.

“Good location nice apartment very clean”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2014

Located near Bridlington spa the ground floor apartment is a good base and ideal for families. Having stayed at a 4 star cottage in Flamborough the apartment is Brid was not comparable but was adequate for our needs and the hosts are fantastic. It's a little tired and probably just needs updating but has all relevant facilities in all rooms with a nice outdoor area. It was clean and tidy to a high standard, ideal for families. As usual Jayne is lovely and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her. Janet, the owner, is always helpful and obliging and I thank her for suggesting the apartment as we had a lovely weekend in Brid.

“Spacious Mobilty Friendly Apartment”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2014

If you have family or relatives that want a short holiday at the coast , these apartments are situated 5 minutes from the Spa and harbour . As an added bonus apartment 1 is fitted out with plenty of Mobility features, rooms were clean and tidy, although from the outside the building looked a bit rundown and maybe could do with a paint job , to freshen it up. One last comment added plus plenty of equipment in kitchen , cutlery etc.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your feedback. Glad you had a good stay & found the apartment well equipped & well located. With regards to the exterior, we are hoping to undertake upgrade work to the frontage of the property at some point later this year.

“Good location”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2013

Very well appointed apartment in good location for all amenities. Property in immediate surroundings a bit run down but because it is so close to the seafront it doesn't matter. Seagulls very noisy but adds to the charm!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your favourable review of Marina Holiday Apartments. In response to the comment regarding nearby property being a bit run down, Bridlington is currently pursuing a major redevelopment programme around the harbour and town areas known as the ´Bridlington Action Plan´ aimed at enhancing the area for the benefit of residents and tourists alike. This should result in a considerable improvement for holidaymakers to the area.
