Description

My beautiful home is in a unique market town setting- overlooking the Severn, with private, south-facing grounds; hidden away from and yet at the hub of town, seconds from the bridge. It can be your own private retreat for periods throughout the seasons. Come to enjoy crashing on the riverside deck - in sun most of the day. Boules on the lawn, the Severn Valley railway and excellent eating and drinking a stroll away; the surrounding dreamy, unspoiled landscape of Shropshire, and Ironbridge, Ludlow and Shrewsbury within short, pleasant driving distance. The house itself is of great charm, with a romantic double bedroom, a stylish. comfortable sitting room, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and a truly spectacular dining room on the river, with woodburning stove. There is on-site parking -a rarity in Bridgnorth- and you are spoiled by the choice of locking the gates on the world and reclining in comfort, and spilling out on to the town without need for the car.

There is an M&S food Hall 5 minutes walk away, and in High Town, both one of the best butchers and the best wine merchants in England. Joy on tap!

There are direct bus services from both Telford and Wolverhampton mainline rail stations. The Severn Railway takes a beautiful river-hugging route to Kidderminster main rail station, but only in season The house is walking distance from all Bridgnorth attractions and facilities - including a GBG - listed pub 4 minutes stroll away and which offers WIFI

I like to greet guests if available; or deputising family members may do so in my absence. I will have moved out to no more than 30 minutes away and so usually am readily available. (f I am further away, again, family members will deputise).

“Picturesque Bridgnorth- a hidden gem with so much to offer.”

The location is amazing - set on the bank of a beautiful river and central to both high and low town, shops, cafes and pubs- you can walk everywhere! The home is very spacious, comfortable and private. The owner, Matthew, was most welcoming, providing us with detailed information about his home and the area. We were thrilled to find fresh roses, chocolates, champers as well as basic things as milk, juice, coffee, a variety of teas etc - very thoughtful. We had a lovely time and will definitely re-visit!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
