“Great holiday cottage in lovely river-side village”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2017

This is a charming cottage in a very picturesque small village. We have stayed here twice - in 2015, and again in 2017. The house is superbly well equipped and is larger than it appears from the outside. Even though it is in a residential area, the garden is pretty and is quite private and enclosed. The house is ideally situated with several great restaurants within five minutes’ walking distance, as is the river for scenic walks. The village is surrounded by spectacular scenery with several interesting places to visit just a short drive away. If you’re a wine buff, why not visit the local restaurants to try out the local vintages, choose your favourite, then visit one of the local wine growers to buy a few bottles to take home with you.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your view. We are pleased that your stay was enjoyable Liz & Michael

“A fabulous house in a beautiful region of Germany”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2016

This is a beautifully appointed house, in a wonderfully quaint village surrounded by steep mountains covered in grape vines. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay, with a good sized garden for al fresco dining in the sunshine, and drinking the local wine in the evening. The neighbours are very friendly and on hand to offer their helpful advice. There are lots of local wine producers in the village and surrounding area where you can sample and buy their Riesling wine and balsamic vinegars at very reasonable prices. You can take advantage of the bikes that are provided to enjoy the local countryside, or, within a short drive, there are larger towns for exploring and enjoying. We are hoping to return during the grape harvest to see how the grapes are collected from the steep mountainside!

Owner's reply: Thankyou for your review and we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay.

marvellous place to chill out. Park the car and cycle, walk or use excellent bus service to get around. The garden just made for relaxing. the only down side no sat. tv and being a bunch of political junkies found the excellent Wi-Fi signal served its purpose. Very comfortable house ,excellent showers.

Owner's reply: Thankyou George Glad you enjoyed it!

Lovely place to stay in such a pretty area with many things to see and do. The house was very comfortable with a lovely garden and the owners have thought of every need you may have and the kitchen was very well equiped if you should wish the use of it . Would love to return one day and explore further.

Owner's reply: Thankyou Lynn would welcome you back!
