“A hidden gem”

Reviewed 30 Mar 2015

I stayed here with my husband and two boys (7 & 9) for a long weekend. It's such a beautiful luxurious property and in gorgeous surroundings. Helen and Chris have thought of everything and we felt very welcome. We'll certainly be back again! :-)

“A top quality lodge, and the Cat came too !”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2015

What a gem of a place to stay, everything was of top quality and very well equipped, there was even a bed for our cat, and fresh flowers and a welcome basket of goodies ! Helen and her family made us very welcome and although they live across the lane they were not at all intrusive, the visit to feed the alpacas was greatly entertaining. The lodge was warm and cosy and there was a plentiful supply of logs, our mobiles worked, our laptop and ipad worked, and we loved the satellite TV, something we don't have at home. We are looking forward very much to our stay for a week over Christmas 2015.

“Wonderful Break”

I can't recommend Swn Y Nant enough!!! It is a great lodge in a great location, with amazing attentive hosts, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing stay. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need, it is truly a home from home.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2015

We stayed at Sound of the Stream for our 20th wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen better. The location, for us, was perfect, quiet, peaceful and wonderfully relaxing. The property itself is finished to an exceptional standard, with nothing to want for. Helen is a fantastic hostess, nothing is too much trouble and we can't wait to return later this year!

“A little piece of heaven.........”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2015

We spent 6 nights at "Swn Y Nant"- Sound of the Stream in January. What an idyllic property in the heart of the Brecon becons. The attention to detail was second to none, from the fluffy white towels and robes to the welcome packs for both humans and Dogs. Whether it was the offer of freshly laid Duck eggs delivered to your door or advice on walks, restaurants, pubs etc nothing was too much trouble for the owner's Helen and Chris-conveniently located nearby. The hot tub was amazing.....! Great to relax in after a long walk. There is so much to see and do locally and the lodge makes an excellent base. I particularly liked the warm running water outside for the Dogs. I would highly recommend staying here for a short break or longer, so much so that we've already booked to go back in September! If you're looking for somewhere, tasteful and relaxing where your Dogs are pampered as much as you are, look no further!

“Complete relaxation.”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2015

The lodge is a perfect retreat from a busy lifestyle. It is a true 5 star accommodation ...everything has been thought through , enabling you to holiday in considerable comfort. Our two main factors in booking were the hot tub and being able to take the dogs ( who even got their own welcome pack). I can't describe how relaxing it is stargazing in the hot tub. We simply had a perfect week...the weather was kind to us and we spent most days walking . There are several walks straight from the lodge. The furnishings are immaculate and the beds comfortable. Logs are supplied for the wood-burner . Helen is a wonderful hostess and is on hand without being intrusive . This was our second visit and certainly won't be our last. The lodge is situated next to a dream with a small waterfall. It's amazing how much time you can waste sitting on the decking just watching and listening. Another plus is the small herd of alpacas in a nearby field. It is the perfect place to relax, unwind and chill.
