Description

The purple room is a luxury double bedroom within our family home, it accommodates 2 people only. It is our only bed and breakfast room so you become part of the family at 'Strathallan'. Our house is situated 7 miles from the Skye Bridge and 3 miles from the village of Broadford, surrounded by stunning view in the quiet community of Lower Breakish in the south of the Isle of Skye.The Purple room is furnished with a solid oak king-sized bed, Tv/dvd, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The en-suite has a full size corner shower, a luxury bath, under-floor heating and a heated towel rail. Guests have sole use of the sun room/porch, which is available to sit, relax, enjoy a cuppa or just take in the view. There is a choice of books, DVD's and games available. A hearty Scottish breakfast is served in our dining kitchen from where you have fabulous views across to the Cuillin mountains. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.

If you require laundry facilities there are launderettes located in Kyle of Lochalsh and Portree.

If you are looking to stay for 3 days or more you maybe would like to try our self-catering studio for 2 'The Bijou Hideaway'

New in 2015 is Angela's Kraft Kabin, where she works and sells her handmade jewellery, knits and crafts. You are welcome to have a look round and purchase a unique gift from the Isle of Skye.

Getting around

As some of the popular tourist spots on Skye are quite rural it is advisable to have the use of a car. Local buses are infrequent and sometimes unreliable depending what time of year you are here. There are some local tour companies which you will find on google.

We are usually on hand if our guests need help deciding on where to go and what to do. There are also a supply of leaflets, books and maps for your perusal.

“Stunning Bed & Breakfast”

We spent nights with Derek and Angela and were made to feel right at home and are wonderful hosts. The room and ensuite is beautiful furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was delicious. We went on beautiful walks straight from outside the front door to the beautiful empty beaches. The scenery in Skye is second to none and cannot wait to return one day.

We enjoyed our stay at Angela's house. She was very nice and she gave us the liberty (and privacy) that we needed. As much as we appreciated the views of the Isle of Skye, the bedroom we had the privilege to sleep in was beautiful! The bathroom was totally AWESOME (heated floors) and the breakfast was sumptuous! We would definitely recommend this B&B.

How do damage deposits work?
