There is a comfortable living room, separate dining room, utility area, modern kitchen and sun room ideal for hosing off/drying wetsuits, and storage of bicycles and beach equipment. Set over 3 floors, the top floor also has a further large sitting room/playroom, with games/toys/books/TV/DVDs ideal for teens or children to play. GARDEN: The garden is accessed via a door in the top floor sitting room (garden is situated above the house via steps). A small bridge and several steps lead to the first deck, which has wooden table and 8 garden chairs, parasol, and one step down to the small lawn. Shed with garden games, cushions and BBQ. Several further steps lead to the upper deck, which has 2 wooden sunloungers and garden beanbags. The garden enjoys far-reaching views across the village and Braunton Great Field to Braunton Burrows and the sea in the distance. The garden catches the sun from mid morning until late in the day and is a wonderful place to sit in the evening to enjoy the views.Parking - on-street parking is available on the road in front of the house - no reserved parking, can be busy at times.

The fabulous surfing beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Putsborough and Woolacombe are only a few minutes drive from Wyndham Villa, providing outstanding surfing alongside traditional family seaside fun in the sand, waves, dunes and rock pools. Nearby are some of the prettiest villages and countryside in the West Country with picturesque thatched cottages and cream teas to enjoy.

The famous Tarka Trail runs from Braunton traffic-free for more than 30 miles - a perfect way to take in the scenery via the Taw and Torridge estuaries either on foot or bicycle; Wyndham Villa has secure storage for your bikes or you can hire bikes in Braunton village.

"lovely, comfortable home from home."

We had such a great week here. The house is well appointed with everything we could need for my extended family (including kids). We all enjoyed the terraced style garden and spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the deck, with drink in hand. I loved the style of the house and decor. It's an old town house with loads of character, but it feels like you're at the seaside too...which of course is true, the nearest beach is only 10minutes away. The house has been restored very well to retain a lot of the old charm whilst adding all the modern conveniences that you could wish for...Lovely bathrooms, decor, a practical kitchen and very comfy beds (a real unexpected treat in a holiday home). I am definitely coming back to Wyndham Villa! I have seen that others mentioned parking being an issue. I did not experience any problems parking. There is no 'allocated parking' with the house, but parking is allowed on the road outside and I have to say that we didn't have any problems parking our 2 cars right outside.

"Perfect for two families to share"

We had a fantastic stay with 4 adults and 3 under 5s. The house is set up ideally for a family on each of the two top floors. We used the 2nd floor double and the 'Den' and our friends used the king and a twin room on the first floor - leaving a twin room unused! It never felt crowded with 7 of us. Having 3 bathrooms was a major bonus and the kitchen was better equipped than any self catering rental we have stayed in before. It is only a short (steep!) walk into Braunton for great cafes, restaurants, shops and the local play park and we could drive to the beach in a few minutes. We bought all of our food in the local shops and only needed the car to go to the beach. The location is quiet and has stunning views over the town towards the sea. For young children the house is heaven - no need to take toys, books, DVDs etc (or beach toys) as everything is provided - including fixed stair gates at the top of both flights of stairs, children's crockery and cutlery etc. Only issue for families at busier times of the year could be parking - it's on-street and limited. We never had to walk more than about 40 metres but it's not ideal with small children and there are also steps up to the house from the road so it would be tricky with a push chair. The owner was very easy to deal with, responded to queries and issues promptly and genuinely wanted to ensure we had a great stay. We will definitely return.

"Fantastic property with everything you could possibly need"

Convenient location - 5 minute wall to Braunton shops. Great views towards Braunton Burrows. Very clean, well equipped house, with lots of lovely touches. On arrival the heating wasn't working, but a call to the house-keeper and within half an hour the boiler was ignited. Sadly couldn't use the wood burner due to chimney damage in recent storms, but we were compensated for that. Only slight issue was the roadside parking. Not always possible to get a space nearby which wasn't a major problem for us, but could be if you had young children with you. Loved the 'quirks' such as access to the garden via a second storey walkway (the property is set against a steep hill), and the well behind the house. All very safe though and the house is fully child-proof with stair gates etc.
